Feast Buffet in Red Rock
Month Visited: 06/09
- Please SelectFor a buffet, this is quite good. We ate here twice during our stay: once for dinner and once for
lunch. We used a 2 for 1 from the LVA both times, so the value was excellent.

Le Village Buffet in Paris Las Vegas

- Good Meal
- DinnerLine wasn't to bad, took a long time for hostess to seat us though, very little communication. Food was ridiculously Good! Amazing selection and many items were actually french cuisine. So with minor issues with service and time getting in, it was great.

The Buffet at Bellagio in Bellagio
Month Visited: 01/10
- Good Meal
- BrunchWe visited for Brunch on New Years Day and again the following Sunday. It is completely worth the $30 price tag. They had everything from prime rib, roasted leg of lamb, roasted ham, roasted turkey, about 5 different kinds of fish prepared different ways, 3 different types of crab legs and claws (which are conveniently split open for you, but are served chilled), shrimp, and chicken. The prime rib was excellent; the eggs benedict were extremely well prepared. The bellagio buffet also has an abundance of fruits and yogurts, and excellent desserts and pastries. I particularly remember a crusty sourdough type roll that paired wonderfully with just about anything I ate. They also have soups that are delicious - I had clam chowder one day and cream of wild mushroom the next. For breakfast, they also have an omelet station, many kinds of pancakes, french toast, crepes (the cheese filled ones with strawberry topping were wonderful), bacon, eggs, etc. The servers have many tables to look after, but my drink glass never went below half-full, and our plates were promptly cleared. There is a bar in the buffet, but I'm not sure about pricing on that, as we did not use it.

B & B Ristorante in Venetian
Month Visited: 01/10
- Good Meal
- DinnerThe food was excellent; we are not wine drinkers, so we did not to the pairing. As an appetizer we had a prisciutto salad with dates, main course was a lobster spaghetti, and dessert was an apple strudel served with gelato. The meal was a wonderful experience, but it is a bit pricey.

Serendipity 3 in Caesars Palace
Month Visited: 01/10
- Good Meal
- DinnerRecommend to us by a friend back home. Had a Mojitto (awesome), Buffet Steak Sandwich (phenomenal) and the Cheese Cake (HUGE!). I would never recommend that you order an entree for oneself, portions are large.
Our server was great, took the time to go through each menu item. I think his name was Santiago, great guy, and great food. Maybe my new favorite guilty pleasure stop in Vegas.

The Buffet in Wynn Las Vegas
Month Visited: 12/09
- Good Meal
- DinnerThis buffet is really wonderful, from the plate settings to the food to the service....first rate. It is a bit pricey, more than is listed on this site, breakfast was $17.95, not $14.95. We will be back!
We were back in January of 2010....still first rate. The best buffet in Vegas. If you can only afford one buffet this should be the one!

Firefly Downtown in Plaza
Month Visited: 12/09
- Good Meal
- SnackI visited the Firefly 3 times at the Plaza in December. I love this place for happy hour and the tapas are great especially the stuffed dates and the breads with the flavored butter. We sat at the bar and the service was very friendly. If fact, we were brought complementary plates of breads, a stuffed date, some kind of potato tapas, a meatball and some olives. I can't wait to return on my next trip.

Billy Bob's Steak House in Sam's Town
Month Visited: 09/09
- Good Meal
- DinnerI had 2 comped nights at Sam's Town that included a $25 food credit so I used it at Billy Bob's Steakhouse. This was my first time eating there though I've stayed many times at Sam's. I had the small filet with salad and rice pilaf. The filet was delicious and cooked to order and rice pilaf was the best I've ever had. It was what I would call a southwest pilaf with peppers, onions and some great spices. The portion was enough for at least 2 people. Service was friendly and attentive. I would definately eat here again.

The Buffet in Aria Resort and Casino
Month Visited: 01/10
- Bad Meal
- DinnerWow, this place sucked! Just ate there last night. The whole room smelled like a disgusting, bleach soaked dishrag. Whatever they were wiping the tables down with really stunk and totally made me feel sick! Gross and unappetizing smell and gross food too. Dinner for 2 of us was $60! Ridiculous. Pitiful selection. Decent wood oven pizza, but the cook kept burning pizzas and they were inedible with black crusts. Crab legs were small. Shrimp were large. Desserts were the highlight, with good gelato, cakes and cookies. AVOID THIS HORRIBLE BUFFET.

Primarily Prime Rib in SouthPoint
Month Visited: 12/09
- Good Meal
- DinnerI had stayed at South Point before but had not gone to this restaurant because I expected it to be similar to the Prime Rib Loft at Orleans, which I did not particularly care for. At Primarily Prime Rib my wife and I had a perfectly delightful dinner with delicious prime rib and trimmings. We each had a free dessert using the coupon in the book which was given to us at check-in. Very good food in a very attractive location at a very good price. What's not to like???

Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab in Caesars Palace
Month Visited: 01/10
- Bad Meal
- DinnerWORST SERVICE EVER! My husband, our friend, and myself went there for dinner recently. Between the 3 of us, we dropped over $400 on dinner and were treated HORRIBLY! I have gotten WAY better service at hole-in-the-wall restaurants than the service we received at this "nice" restaurant. To go into detail about the service would take forever, so I'll just tell you the icing on the cake. When we received our bill, my husband was gracious enough to leave a tip. The waiter sure as hell didn't deserve one, but we left him one anyways...big mistake. The waiter then had the audacity to come over to my husband and tell him that the tip was not enough!!! No...I'm NOT kidding! He actually did that. We were all livid, so my friend goes to talk to the manager...he was no better than the waiter! "WOW!", is all I can say. How this restaurant is still open is beyond me...Maybe they actually have better staff members hiding in back somewhere. All I know is that we have a LARGE group of friends and family members that frequent Vegas MANY times a year, and I'll make sure that each and every one of them knows about this place.

Ciao Ciao Apizza Angelato

- DinnerI've been on a mission to find good pizza here in the valley, and this place is on the top of my list at this point. I had the Margarita Pizza and it was excellent! The cheese was creamy, sauce wasn't scarce nor overflowing, and the crust was cooked perfectly. I am disappointed that I live on the other side of town now and can't readily get there for great pizza.

Sea Harbour Seafood Restaurant in Caesars Palace
Month Visited: 11/09
- Good Meal
- DinnerI wasn't sure what to expect when it came to eating "real Chinese food" in Las Vegas when I'm so use to
eating "real Chinese food" in Toronto/Markham. I was very pleasantly surprised! The prices were
comparable to Toronto, but the atmosphere at the Sea Harbour is so much better! The food was fantastic
and the service was even better. Value? Fantastic! This place has great value for the money because the
quantity and quality of food are amazing. I ordered crab claw, seafood soup, ying yang rice, and more.
Everything was fantastic and I especially enjoyed the walnut soup. I'm an extremely picky eater and I was
really surprised that I enjoyed the food there. I would highly recommend anyone that is feeling for
Chinese food to check out Sea Harbour.

The Buffet in Aria Resort and Casino
Month Visited: 12/09
- Bad Meal
- DinnerThis was by far the WORST buffet I have been to in Las Vegas, and I have been to virtually all of them over the years. The food was worse than hospital food. It has all the atmosphere of an office cafeteria. The selections were minimal and most of the food was beyond dreadful. The pizza and crab legs were good and everything else ranged from tasteless to disgusting. It is hard to ruin roast turkey breast, but they managed. Stay far away from the Aria's overpriced embarassment to Las Vegas buffets.

The Buffet in Aria Resort and Casino
Month Visited: 12/09
- Good Meal
- DinnerThere are 6 sections: Sea food, Aamerican, Indian, Italian, Chinese and Dessert. I dont eat raw food, so I did not try sea food. But it seemed like most of the people were eating sea food. Amearican was pretty good. The steak was pretty unique. Indian also is good. Their naan is the best I have ever had. From the Italian section I liked the pizzas. They have good appetizers in Chinese section. Desserts are unique too. It seems like they have tried to keep the menu a little differnt from other buffets. It reminded me Wynn buffet. Overall, the food was tasty and unique, atmosphere was good and service was nice. Plus the line also moved pretty fast as there are about 1000 seats in the restaurant. Highly recommended.

When I saw the size of them I thought neither of us would finish, but these turned out to be very light and delicious so no doggy bag was required. - Undecided
- Dinner12/09 revisit: We shared orders of shrimp with special hot chili sauce and chicken prepared with three special sauce and basil. The shrimp were served with the heads, but the biggest problem was they had been mishandled and were mealy. We fared better with the chicken dish.
04/09 We were welcomed by our waitress and seated in a booth. I had several notes culled from yelp, the chow hound board and a recent review, but solicited the waitress’ input. We ended up sharing orders of P28 – green onion pancake, P 23- steamed juicy pork buns, H96 - eggplant in garlic spicy sauce plus rice and tea. Everything was delicious, but the pork buns were a revelation.

Casa Di Amore
Month Visited: 12/09
- Good Meal
- DinnerMy wife and I finally stopped by to try out Casa Di Amore after driving past it for years. Our overall experience was very good. Service was prompt and friendly. I had the Eggplant Di Amore which was very good and the serving was more than I could eat. Prices are a little higher than what I would expect, but I am sure I was paying for the ambiance. My wife loves Italian food and thoroughly enjoyed herself here. We will be going back. The live entertainment was not a distraction and pleasant to listen to as we enjoyed our meal.

Todd's Unique Dining
Month Visited: 12/09
- Good Meal
- Dinner12/09 Todd Clure, the owner/chef of this restaurant, continues to accumulate awards for his innovative cuisine. Unlike other celebrity chefs in Las Vegas, you will find Todd in the kitchen every evening. He also modifies the menu in concert with the availability of fresh fish and produce. We like to dine on Wednesday nights when the normal $20 corkage fee is waived. On this evening we enjoyed a bottle of Los Vacos cabernet sauvignon.
Our server, James, recited the evening’s specials and answered our questions about the menu. We started off by ordering one of Todd’s signature appetizers, Asian dumplings with a soy-garlic dipping sauce. These dumplings were delightfully light and flavorful. He also served us a complimentary appetizer, in appreciation of our continuing patronage, of arancini with tomato sauce that were unlike any we have ever experienced (this is a compliment).
My wife ordered the mahi mahi stuffed with crab served with island rice and an almond sauce. My entrée was South African sea bass with a barley salad and Riesling reduction sauce. Both plates included a roasted tomato, grilled squash, enoki mushrooms, watercress and carrots; a rainbow of textures, colors and flavor. At the end of this feast, I was kicking myself after realizing that I had forgotten to bring an email my wife received for a complimentary dessert in recognition of her birthday. It did not matter because shortly after our plates were cleared, James brought us a complimentary Toddamisu, Todd’s take on a tiramisu. Overall, this evening’s service, food and company could not have been any better.
05/06 The restaurant has been voted as one of the Top 10 restaurants in Las Vegas for the past 2 years as well as being a recipient of AAA 3 Diamonds award in 2006. The food is gourmet, the prices are not. This is one of the few celebrity chef restaurants where you find the chef in the kitchen. On Wednesday nights Todd’s waives the usual $15 corkage charge so I brought a bottle of Los Vascos cabernet sauvignon. On our arrival we were disappointed to learn our favorite server had departed for parts unknown, but “Sunny”, our new favorite server, proved to be both appropriately named and equally efficient. We shared a watermelon salad that included pepitas, cayenne, lime juice and feta cheese - an amazing mixture of flavors. We each chose the fresh teriyaki halibut entree served over coconut rice and bok choy, but Todd has reworked the recipe to include fingerling potatoes plus baby carrots and sugar peas. Near the end of the meal Todd came over to our table and thanked us for our continuing patronage and nice reviews. One word for this evening's dining experience - perfection.

Cuba Cafe
Month Visited: 02/06
- Good Meal12/09 It has been over 4 years since we last dined at this restaurant so we each ordered an entrée that we had enjoyed in the past. We began with sweet fried bananas along with complimentary garlic bread. My wife chose salmon al mango – seared salmon with mango sauce and vegetable rice. I ordered pollo tequila – seared marinated chicken breast in fresh herbs with tequila sauce and chipotle served with vegetable rice. Both dishes were good, but my chicken was slightly dry. Prices are very reasonable and portions are ample so we ordered a flan to go in order to meet the minimum $35 purchase requirement. The flan received a 8 Fork rating when consumed later in the evening.
02/05 We have been going to this small Cuban restaurant for the past several years and never had a bad meal. It has become more popular recently and weekend reservations are now a must. This evening we both thoroughly enjoyed the mango salmon entrée serve with an interesting veggie rice and delicious cole slaw.

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant
Month Visited: 12/09
- Good Meal
- Dinner12/09 revisit: As Preferred Guest members we received an amuse bouche of tomato smoked salmon and capers. We also shared a delicious spinach salad with dried cranberries, fennel, carrots and basil dressing. My wife ordered lobster ravioli in a red curry sauce that I am going to have to try to duplicate at home. My entrée was macadamia crusted blue grenadier topped with bay scallops and served with a tropical salsa, green beans and roasted red pepper. We also shared a crème brulee. Both the dessert and first $30 of our bill were complimentary in recognition of my wife's birthday
09/09 revisit: Our waiter handed us menus as we were seated in a booth as requested at the time I made our Open Table reservation. As we were reviewing the menus, I was surprised to read “Happy 35th Anniversary” Neither of us mentioned that our actual 35th wedding anniversary was in August, a mistake (wink, wink) I made when signing up for their Preferred Membership club. Our shared roasted beet salad with warm goat cheese and a balsamic reduction sauce was pleasing to both the eye and palate. Ann chose the English sole that was crusted with artichoke and served with a sun dried tomato sauce, white rice and a vegetable hash. I went with Chef Talbott’s Recommendation: ono (wahoo) crusted with coconut, topped with a tropical salsa and spicy brown butter, and accompanied by bok choy and jasmine rice. Both dishes were excellent. I had a free dessert coupon so we decided to share a crème brulee, but first the waiter delivered a pair of chocolate cups filled with a chocolate and whipped cream mixture to our table in recognition of our anniversary. Our crème brulee, as usual, was both delicious and on-the-house so I saved the coupon for a future visit. I used a coupon for a free entry that was received for my birthday.
09/09 revisits: We found business much slower than on previous trips, a sure sign of the dismal economy. We passed on the basket of bread, but gratefully accepted an amuse bouche of shrimp cocktails served with pico de gallo sauce. We shared a delicious spinach salad with fennel, dried cranberries and carrots in a balsamic dressing. Ann chose ahi tuna served very rare and thinly sliced along with mashed potatoes (a substitution), pickled ginger and a very potent wasabi sauce. I opted for the English sole. Yes, tonight Westie was a “Sole Man”. My entrée was crusted with artichoke and served with a sundried tomato sauce over a vegetable hash and wild rice (substitution).
We dined 3 times at McCormick & Schmicks during our two week vacation in September 2007.
We were staying at the Tuscany Suites and could have walked to the restaurant on Hughes Center Drive, but it was way too hot outside so we made the 2 minute drive. This was our first visit and we were favorably impressed by both the décor and hostesses’ greeting. We were escorted to a booth and shortly thereafter presented with menus. According to the M&S website, at least 30 varieties of fresh fish are offered on the changing daily menu. I counted them at there were 33 which is pretty impressive for Las Vegas. We started off with the seafood and roasted corn chowder which was not overly thick, but very good. Ms. Westie ordered the black sesame crusted Pacific snapper served with a Thai chili sauce and coconut jasmine rice. The fish was cooked to perfection – succulent and delicious. I chose the artichoke crusted English sole which was accompanied by vegetable hash, jasmine rice and a mild spinach pesto sauce. Again, the fish was perfectly prepared and delicious. I used a $25 gift certificate printed off the M&S website and made reservations using Open Table. Net price of meal was $30.
On our second visit the hostess greeted us and escorted us to a booth. I ordered the spicy (PEI) mussels in a chunky tomato sauce served over linguini. Ms. Westie’s entrée was the coconut crusted mahi mahi accompanied by assorted vegetables and plain white rice. We also shared an order of wilted baby spinach with mushrooms and shallots. Price of meal net of a $25 coupon was $24.02.
Third visit: I have been remiss in not previously mentioning the very good warm bread that is served at M&S. Ms. Westie chose the fresh crab and shrimp cakes entrée served with red pepper aioli. My entrée was pecan crusted catfish with Cajun remoulade sauce. We also shared another order of baby spinach sautéed with shallots and mushrooms. Both entrees were delicious and each was accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and crisp green beans. Price of meal net of a $25 coupon was $25.05.
12/07 (revisit) We arrived approximately an hour after our 7:15PM reservation, but were greeted with Happy Birthday wishes and seated in a booth as requested. A bountiful mixed green salad with bleu cheese and candied walnuts in a light vinaigrette dressing was shared. Ms. Westie’s entrée was cashew crusted tilapia with Jamaican rum butter and tropical salsa which came with crisp green beans and white rice. I ordered the pecan crusted catfish with Cajun remoulade sauce that was served with mashed potatoes plus a mix of crisp green and yellow beans. Service was attentive and the food delicious. I used a $25 gift certificate received after joining this chain’s Preferred Guest program. ($26.18, 4 Forks)
12/07 (revist) We shared a spinach salad with fennel and cranberries tossed with a basil dressing that sounded much better than it tasted. We each ordered the seafood fettucine – rock shrimp and bay scallops in a garlic cream sauce. This dish was very tasty, but the bay scallops were the smallest I have ever seen. ($27.90, R.com, 2.5 Forks
12/07 (revisit) We started off with the fried calamari appetizer with three sauces which were light and flavorful. Ms. Westie ordered the swordfish “au povre” which was finished in a pomegranate demi glace, chanterlles, asparagus and a truffle potato cake. I ordered corvine devon port, similar to seabass, which was roasted in pecan honey butter and accompanied by Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes. Both dishes were excellent though on returning home, I googled corvine devon port unsuccessfully. We finished the meal by sharing a gingerbread crème brulee. The total bill pre tax and gratuity after deducting the $75 gift certificate came to 75 cents. After this meal you could have trussed me up because I was already stuffed. ($17.61, 4 Forks)
