This is a very small Mediterranean storefront restaurant. I ordered kafta kabob with beef in special spices, which was accompanied by grilled eggplant, rice and some additional vegetables. Ms. Westie's mousaka arrived accompanied by a salad and rice. We also received a basket of pita bread and complimentary baklavas. Service was excellent, the chef's brother served as our waiter. This restaurant is not fancy, but the food was a bargain since we used the Entertainment book 2/1 discount.

In response to the previous reviewer I would like to mention that I am in no way related to anyone at the restaurant. We tried it with our Entertainment card and have been back 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I believe the restaurant is under new ownership and have recieved nothing but exceptional service. I would also like to add that I have eaten at Paymon's several times over the years and have found the service to be slow and while the food is good we usually spend twice as much there for less food. I would not designate the restaurant as a "craphole" but the owner did mention to me that they had recently redecorated. We have never experienced any inhospitable treatment from the staff or the other patrons and have actually found everyone to be welcoming and friendly.

We started out ordering their pizza's delivered - we lived nearby. The Armenian Chicken Pizza is the BEST! The Humus is exceptional! We then moved to the other side of town, and the owner personally delivers our orders to us! We're happy enough with the service and quality of this restaurant, we are having our wedding reception there!

In the area of flamingo and maryland parkway you have a couple of other choices. Up on Flamingo past eastern they just opened a persian place. I don't know about them. On maryland there is a place called daily chicken, with fantastic chicken in a fast food way, that delivers. Great value. There is Paymons, the holy grail of that area of town. Great food, great service. And then... Sadly enough... There is Al Basha. I never posted this because I didn't think I'd ever see a positive review of this craphole. It's tucked in a plaza, next to the target, where the patrons, owners, whoever stand outside and give people the evil eye. I ordred a side Kibbe, a order of Tabulli, and main dish. for one, and just about what you'd get at a regular platter at Paymons, it was nearly 20 bucks. And the food tasted nasty. I can't curse on here, but take the fact that I want to as a clue. The service sucked, it's a nasty atmosphere, and I would not recomend it. My recomendation in this category is
HEDARY'S just west of Tenaya on Sahara. Amazing food, awesome lunch specials, beautiful decor. The previous reviewer must be a family member, because of all the middle eastern/medditerean places I've eaten at this place stands out as the worst. I've probably been to about 20 from coast to coast.
Save your money. Eat at the Arby's down the street. It's better.
