Inconsistent is the word for this restaurant. We ate several meals during our stay.
Breakfast was always very good.( Great 'graveyard specials) Dinner was a 'crap shoot'.
The steak special was not up to expectations and the baby back ribs were overdone.
The sweet and sour pork was good(the appetizer terific) and the New York strip very good.
Lots of courteous staff present.
Don't be timid about the points for food at half price offer. A real bargain.
I look for improvement in the food as we found this place a bit of a disappointment considering the overall South Point experience which was great.

I think they are working out the kinks here at the coffee shop at the South Coast. September has a great promotion- pay with your slot points and your meal is half price. Breakfast this Sunday morning was quickly and efficiently served, well prepared and tasty. Frequent visits by the staff refilled coffee, water and juice glasses.
As others have stated, try to hit the place for either the specials (like the graveyard specials) or during promotions since the list price is slightly higher than it should be.

Food is typical coffee shop fare at a slight premium. Some good graveyard specials Monday thru Friday. Have only eatten breakfast here, but the food tends to be a bit overcooked. Biggest complaint I have is the inconsistant service which runs from very attentive to awful. They are quick to seat you and take your order, but can fall down when it comes to keeping your coffee cup full, asking if everything is all right, removing your dirty plates and getting your tab to you in a timely manner.
On my worst visit I got seated quickly enough. A busboy came over and said, "Hi buddy! What can I get you?" I asked for coffee. He left. Then a waitress came over and asked, "Has anybody taken your order yet?" I said no, so I ordered one of the breakfast specials. She left. Still hadn't gotten my coffee. After awhile the waitress returned with my coffee and a glass of water, saying she was sorry and thought the busboy was going to get it for me. The coffee cup they use is so small it could be called a glorified demitasse cup! A few more minutes and the waitress returned with my breakfast, which was quite good and a bargain at the price.
And that was that!
I never got a coffee refill, either from the waitress or the busboy, although other customers in other stations got refills. Actually I didn't even see the busboy again accept once when he floated by my table not even looking at me. The waitress was absent for quite some time. So long, in fact, I was going to ask the hostess if she could get me my tab. Finally she came back with a big smile on her face, put my bill on the table, took my plates and offered me a cheerful "I hope you have a wonderful day!" She saw my coffee cup was empty and didn't ask if I had ever gotten any refills or asked if I wanted another cup. Needless to say I didn't leave a tip.
Having worked in a coffee shop myself in this town I can't quite figure out what the deal was. There were a lot of large groups in the room and perhaps my servers decided to spend all their time and attention on a bigger party where they'd probably make a large tip. Or it could be she got stuck serving me because I was sitting at the station of another waitress who was on a break and I wasn't really her customer.
When I got up to pay my tab the cashier didn't ask my if everything was all right and did I enjoy my meal. She merely punched up the sale, told me what I owed, took my money and gave me my change.
On my last visit I got better service, slightly. I got one coffee refil.
I live close to this place so I probably will eat here in the future if it's convenient. But it's on the bottom of my list. I prefer the buffet and have always received good service there.

Average coffee shop food, prices not TOO bad for a mainstream casino coffee shop. Food comes out fast because it's all pre-cooked!

They charged wrong amount on my Debit card,
I called to get the refund and they charged double amount of what i get charged at the beginning.
I asked the manager how it happened,
He replied... " I DON'T KNOW "
And he told me that I have to come there to get my money back.
RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~
I was very disappointed and felt that I got swindled.
VERY BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
