The location isn't that great, as it's in a weird little strip-mall on the Strip, but the food is really good, the restaurant itself is nice and the service has been great every time I've gone there. I wouldn't bring kids here because there are steakhouses that are more geared toward families with small kids, not to mention less expensive and more accomodating for people with little ones.

We visited Vegas from Portland, OR in December, and of all the restaurants in Vegas we chose Alan Albert's for dinner our last night there. The ambiance was very romantic. The food, service, decor all came together to form a 'rich and famous' feel. I suggest the prime rib (huge cut - enough to feed a family of 6), but start with the Crab Margarita -- that is definitely a must! We are definitely visiting Alan Albert's the next time we come to Vegas, and we're referring everyone we know who is going to Vegas to Alan Albert's.

A neat steak and chop house across from the Monte Carlo.
Try the prime rib.

On first approach, I was a little apprehensive since it is located in an alley-way. Not dark and dingy, but an alley just the same. Once inside, you are swept away in a very cozy dining room - very romantic!
Our server was very friendly and informative. We started with an appetizer special of Crab Margharita. Wondferful! I highly recommend this if you have the chance! Neither of us had a salad starter as I wanted to save room for dessert! The steak was cooked to perfection! My dijonaisse mushroom glaze was specatular and added a full flavor. The asparagus was good, but nothing to brag about. My husband had the potatoe cakes which were fabulous! (I kept stealing bites!)
For dessert we had coffee (which was extremely good) and tiramisu. Probably about the best Tiramisu I have ever tasted. Very creamy! yum-yum.
If you are in the mood for a steak, and don't mind spending a bit, this is a great restaurant!
