30th visit to vegas, 12th visit to lawry's...need i say more. We keep returning due to the perfect service, the perfect prime rib and the perfect meal. Ina nd out, in 1 hour.
Every vist to Vegas, this is one of our stops. Not too far from strip, close to bally's. This is our favorite restaurant...We eat out every night either here in Chicago or In Vegas and NO restaurant has come close to the consistant excellant service and food quality - that lawry's provides. The service is perfect, the atmosphere is perfect and the food is perfect (not too expensive - when compared to the likes of bally's steakhouse, prime, mortons, ruth C. smith and wollinsky's etc). You must go to Lawry's - $26.00 prime rib gets thier perfect salad, and the great mashed potatoes and yorkshire pudding. By the way, I was born in Yorkshire (Castleford for those who care), and this pudding is cooked the right way....Just how my mum does it..

The room was very nice and the service good but the prices were pretty high. You MUST like prime rib as that is really all they have! Yorkshire pudding, BTW, is puffy, greasy bread that you use to sop up the blood, gravy and juices!!Really quite gross actually. I personally would really rather not eat here ever again but if someone comes in to town and insists on prime rib I suppose here's where I'd take them. I had a bite of my husband's and it just tasted like roast beef to me. Expect the meal to take a loooooong time. Apparently fine dining means sitting until your behind is numb! We didn't have dessert for that reason although I have heard the berry thing is very good. It was interesting but I could pass happily next time!!

The prime rib had no taste at all! They put a glob of mashed potatoes on your plate, cover everything with gravy and hope you eat it. Yuk. Our waitress was a disapearing act.
The potato chips served in the lounge are first rate as is the hot fudge sundae.
Very limited menu!

Food is wayyyy overrated. Prime rib didn't taste all that different in comparison w/ a lower scale
restarurant. Atmosphere on the other hand was very impressive. Dining room was elegant, the
staff was very professional. Your servers are addressed by Mr. or Mrs.... If you're trying to
impress.. date or business dinner, this is a great place, but if you're looking to eat well, I suggest
just going to the old Outback for the Outback Special Prime Rib! Why pay $30 a plate when you
can get something better for $15???

Overall the meal was quite good. However, I was expecting to have one of the best pieces of prime rib of my life and I didn't.

Very good meal. Everyone was very friendly and that made the food that much
better. Reservations are a must. A very short cab ride from the strip.

While playing blackjack in the Palms hotel, I asked the dealer and locals playing with me, if they could eat at only one restaurant around here, what would it be? Answer: Lawry's. So off we went. After waiting about an hour and 20 minutes for a table and eating their delicious home made potato chips, we were brought to our table. The dining room is very exquisit, and the service was impacable. You follow the hostess, and when you arrive at your horse shoe shaped booth, they actually pull the table out for you to sit down with ease. Amazing. The food turned out to be the best meal I have ever eaten in my entire life. Mostly all you can get is prime Rib, but they are the best at it, and why mess with perfection? I got creamed corn, spinach, and a baked potato with my prime rib, and all were outstanding. All 4 of us couldnt believe how exceptional this meal was. I will go back every single time. Our bill was $161 for 4, which may seem high, but I would have paid 200. I cant say delicious enough times to give it justice. 100% service and quality!
