We never visit Vegas without enjoying the wonderful cuisine at this delightful french cottage. The unpretensious service is as good as any in town! My guess is that the "good ole boy" from Texas is all hat and no cattle!

One of my favorite restaurants in the U.S.. They got it right when it was nationally ranked as one of the top 50! Can't believe someone would put a bad rating out here. Food is divine...I try to eat here every time in town, and while a bit pricey and perhaps a little cramped inside, the freshness of the food and attention to detail is exquisite. Especially good the crudites and the desserts! Give it a try......great romantic setting.    8200

I just read your comments about Pomplemousse Restaurant. It's a shame for some people when they get off B-B-Q or pan fried foods to experience dinning, rather than just grabbing somthing fast to stuff in their faces and get on with what ever they were doing. Pomplemousse is a dinning experience that my family and I have enjoyed since 1982 and NEVER have we been rushed. In fact one of the charms of Pomplemousse is the relaxing dinning experance giving every guest ample time to enjoy the excellent cuisine and each others company. If slower thoughtful service and dinning rather than just eating is not for you I can understand why your experience was unfavorable. There fore it would be understandable that you eat in a fast food house, preferably in TEXAS, USA rather than LAS VEGAS, NEVADA.

After careful planning for our July 2001 Las Vegas visit, my husband and I decided on Pamplemousse for our anniversary dinner. We thought we would experience a quaint, French Country dining experience. Instead, we wasted money on a taxi and had very rude service.

The meal was average with the fresh vegetable crudites being the highlight. The service was horrible! For an uncrowded restaurant, the waiter sure wanted us out quick. Upon sensing that we weren't wanted there, despite reservations, my husband and I opted against wine. I didn't want to spend more at this ungracious place than I had to. The meal was so comical in the sense that we could tell the waiter wanted us gone, that instead of offering us dessert, he brought our bill early. Guess dessert wasn't an option!

Needless to say, the waiter received a miniscule tip for this horrible evening. I just regret that my husband and I didn't walk out at the beginning. The highlight of the evening was walking all the way back to the Strip just for the heck of it. We had blast popping in and out of the hotel/casinos along the way, although it was a long trek back!

Avoid what I like to refer to as Pamplecrap at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    7140
