The kitchen was playing horrible mexican music loud enough to compete with the more pleasant atmosphere music drifting from the restaurant ceiling speakers, which as could be imagined resulted in a jerky jangly noisy mass of unpleasant sound. There was a distinct feeling of a lack of intimacy here compared with most other Blueberry Hill Restaurants we've been to, all of which were very pleasant by the way. The booths here are all arranged in a large square room. No one booth seemed very appealing as we entered this room, but we choose to sit near the back on the left side, which was a mistake because we had to endure the music-mix as I stated above. We ordered a turkey burger with a side of fruit compote (a good tasting lowfat entree), and chicken fried stake with mashed potatoes accompanied with broccoli, cauliflower and carrot medley which tasted overcooked which could be because we arrived at 9:30 PM. we also ordered a piece of delicious chocolate cake. Everything tasted great with the exception of the veggie medley. We've had the same vegetable medley before in other Blueberry Hill restaurants and it's been much better. All the other food was terrific. Too bad the atmosphere was so classless. Another little problem. We had a middle-aged female server whom I won't name, who in our opinion acted a little too self-righteous. At the start of our meal, I said something to her about not noticing this place listed in the phone book, so she took it upon herself to prove me wrong. She was correct, but her correction was unnecessary and uninvited, leaving me feeling rather the fool. My wife was infuriated, but we just kept quiet. We could not seriously enjoy ourselves for the rest of this visit. Sorry so negative, but this was our first experience at this place. And probably our last.
