We had dinner at S&W on 10/25/04. The only reason we ate here was I had cashed in some AMEX rewards points for a $100 gift card. Overall the meal was good. The fried calamari appetizer was very tender. The bread selection you get is very good. I had a filet and my Mom had a shrimp dish and we both enjoyed our selections. A side of garlic mashed potatoes were also good. Service was good and very attentive. This place is very pricey, and I don't think I would eat here again. I would rather go to a nice buffet instead of S&W.

My wife & I ate here Aug 25 & had a very excellent meal. Diego & Jesse waited on us as true professionals. The manager, Phillip McMaster, excellent host. We truly enjoyed our T-Bone steaks & lobster. Our dessert, carrot cake, shared 1 slice that would feed a family of 4. We will be visiting them again in March or April. This is an excellent restaurant. The menu might be pricey, but worth every penny.

- Bad Meal
Without a doubt, the worst steakhouse in Vegas. Food is just ok (typically overcooked. Remember, you can always cook and underdone piece of meat a little longer. There isn't much you can do with an overcooked piece of shoe leather except drown it in sauce and hope for the best). The food is overpriced compared to Blackstone's (right across the street) and even Delmonico's at the Venetian and I can not say enough BAD things about the service. Actually, let me take that partially back. The drink girl we had for our visit was exceptional (albeit without much of a standard to live up to). Our waiter during this visit Jeff V. was without a doubt the worst waiter my wife and I have ever had at a high end steakhouse. We were seated next to a large party, although not one of Jeff's tables. He was constantly looking longingly at that table (instead of paying the slightest attention to us) imagining the nice fat tip their waiter was sure to receive. Keep in mind, my wife ordered a salad and I an appetizer. We shared a bottle of wine and each got a dessert (over $250 before tip). As we were seated Jeff asked us if we had ever dined at S&W before and when we said we had, his remark was, “I guess you’re ready then. Can I take your order”? This was before we even had our menus!! When we were ready to order, my wife ordered her meal only to have “wonderful” Jeff to inquire, “And what would you like for your entrée”? He was STILL too busy pining away for the larger party to care one iota about the paying table he did have (in a half empty restaurant I might add). I ordered the lump crab meat appetizer, which never came (although I did receive a salad I never ordered). Our meal was out in less than 20 minutes and we were rushed out the door less than an hour after we arrived. Not bad if I had a plane to catch but pretty lousy when you’re in the mood for a nice meal. When I complained to the Manager his response was, and I quote, “You’re obviously pissed off, what would you like me to do”? While I appreciate the gesture, the approach and wording was less than acceptable for someone in the service industry. The kicker to the whole miserable experience was when the bill arrived, it was contained within a brochure for the Las Vegas S&M. Of the three waiters pictured on the cover, who was one of them? The eminently lousy Jeff V. I’d hate to have had one of the waiters who didn’t make THAT cut.

Attended a dinner party and had a great Prime Rib dinner. This place is very pricey but it was worth every dollar the host was paying for it. Great seafood platter appt.
