Only complaint: Wine had sediment in it and they did not decanter.

Not especially fond of the photographer pushing her way around the restaurant but it's Vegas and everyone's out to make a buck.

Food is good and view is best in the City - but for people watching, go to Joe's Stone Crab in Caesar's or any Forum Shop restaurant...

Expensive, but nice menu choices and the view is THE BEST in Vegas. Make your reservations for sunset and plan on a 2 hour dining experience. We've been here several times, and will go again. It takes a long time to get to the elevator, once you've entered the Strat. So walking in high heels was uncomfortable. There is security to go up in the elevator, and you must check in at the desk before going up. All our waiters have been very good. Good service and good food. Not great food, but definitely good. Actually, they have the best stuffed portabella mushrooms that I've ever had. The desserts are GREAT! If you want to impress someone, take them to this restaurant.

. I expected a great view with ok food and ok service. The view from 6:30 8:00 was awesome. The service was great with two waiters and the wine steward showing personality and interest without being overbearing. We had the Caesar salad and Lobster bisque (excellent bisque with very ample bits of lobster in the bowl. ) The prime rib was excellent and juicy – much larger than the 14 ounces advertised – and a flavorful reduced wine sauce (not your typical au jus). I asked for and received an extra gravy bowl of it My wife had a chicken in wine sauce that was also excellent. Two glasses of the Chardonnay to start and an excellent red suggested by the wine steward at a very reasonable price. All in, $240 – yes you pay for the view, but the food and service held up its end as well. One word of caution, say no to the photographer…we did based on others advice. The table of 3 next us had their picture taken and the photographer must have sent 10 minutes at their table trying to talk them into buying $150 worth of prints. It would have driven me nuts.

We have eaten here several times. Best view in town, especially at night. We ate for lunch this time, which is much cheaper. You also do not have to pay to go to the top of the tower if you are eating in the resturant. Very good hamburgers and homemade chips. Quick service and drink refills. At supper time we have had the best filet mignion we have ever had.

Valued for the meal very poor, service horrible. We paid $210.00 dinner of two,you will paid more for the view than the quality of the service and the meal you will get. I will not eat here again, I got a better service from a local steak house & paid a lot less. If you want to see the view just go to the tower, tickets for 2 was under $20.00 and would have save over $180.00.Don't be a victim of this restaurant, good luck.

#1, the food here is OK but not even close to being worth the price. Casino is dumpy (but that's another issue.) Waiter was friendly but the service was slow and the portions were small. The view is nice but not worth the overpriced meal. Probably won't return to the top of the tower....

If you're looking for a good meal try Nine at the Palms. They serve the best steak I have ever had.

I enjoyed my visit here, and would do it again, depending on the occasion.
But it definitely has its downside.
To begin with, there is no good way to get to the restaurant unless you take a cab. Forget the monorail. You'll end up hoofing a half mile to get there.
If the cab gets stuck in traffic, you may end up paying $20-30 just to get through the front door.
If you do your meal right, you'll be paying around $300 for two people, but the food and wines are magnificent. Actually, the wines are excellent if you're accustomed to "good wine." If you buy your vino at Walmart, you're not likely to enjoy what they bring to your table here.
The service we received was outstanding. Our waiter was a Romanian fellow who really knew his stuff.
I give the "Top of the World" excellent ratings for food, service and atmosphere, but low marks for value and access -- hence my variety of rating signs above.
We went on the Fourth of July, giving us a tremendous view of every local fireworks display. If you're going to go, that's an excellent night to do it.

This experience was memorable only because it was so bad my partner and I had laughs for days. Beginning with the electric scanner all had to pass through like at the airport before going on the elevator to the restaurant. I'm fine with this - security is important. But the system was't working right and women had to take off all their jewelry and men their shoes, belts, etc. Very degrading before spending over $200 for dinner for 2. They didn't even have signs warning of this process happening.
I was disappointed with the view, but that was me. I didn't appreciate the scuffs on the wall and chipped chairs and scratched tables. It was such forced class, you had to laugh.
The prices were out of this world but I expected it and I just laughed at the mini portions of everything. Main course came out with side dishes burnt and slightly crushed.
They have a dress code and it is amazing for the few that chose to dress up as I myself did looked so out of place with the run down decor and other casually dressed patrons.
The saving grace was our waiter. The service was truly impeccable. He 100% deserved every penny of the large tip he received. Wish I remembered his name so I could praise him.
I'm glad I went here so I can say I did and now I have a very humorous dinner story to tell. For those who don't get out much, this might be a treat. But for those who do, it is soo overpriced and overrated. A definite one time deal.

You are paying for the view here. My $48 dollar steak wasn't that great. It was good, but not as good as a lot of other expensive steaks I've had. Probably one step above Outback. My wife liked her meal but we agreed that there is better restaurants in Vegas for the money, but they don't have the view. For me it was a "Been There, Done That".
