Ming's Table in Harrah's Las Vegas - For Lunch

Month Visited: 07/09 - Bad Meal

We waited 5 minutes and no host came to the front. There was another couple ahead of us that had been waiting for 5 minutes also. The waiter saw us .. but no one came to seat us for lunch.

Also, there were 6 couples already seated ... but no food. We took that a sign of poor service and slow service. We don't need that in Vegas .. there are too many resturants around!

Ming's Table in Harrah's Las Vegas - For Dinner

Month Visited: 09/06 - Bad Meal

It was several minutes before the maitre dí arrived and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table though it was obvious several tables were available. We sat in the nearby keno area with a unobstructed view of the entrance and in less than 10 minutes I observed 2 separate groups arriving and being seated. It was obvious neither had reservations as each paused to read the menu posted outside. I walked over to the Maitre dí and politely asked why these groups were being seated while we were told we had to wait. The maitre dí claimed I was told we would be seated at the next available table, but the placard on our table stated 8:45PM (i.e. 30 minutes from the time we arrived). Under normal circumstances I would have left, but I was too hungry and the other dining options were less appealing. We ordered the crab Rangoon appetizer for $6.99. There was just an itty bitty smear of cream cheese in each (4) Rangoon and I would guess the closest any of them came to a crab was when the chef waved a crab claw over each. It was therefore with much trepidation that we waited for our entrees of Singapore noodles and pad Thai to arrive. The Singapore noodles turned out to be very good and spicy, but the pad Thai was unrecognizable, by either looks or taste.

Ming's Table in Harrah's - For Dinner

Month Visited: 06/06 - Good Meal

A reasonably priced Chinese restaurant, with prompt service. Great for a late dinner (10:00 pm). Basic Chinese food. Only had a couple of items. Mixed veggies with mixed seafood was pretty good. And the Ma Pao (?) tofu was very good. Had the lettuce wraps, which I wouldn't recommend after having them at PF Changs! You only get 2 bite sized ones that are pre-made. At other restaurants, they give you a half of an ice berg lettuce head with the fixings separate so that you make your own. Was very loud with crying babies and all, but I guess it's a family restaurant.

Ming's Table in Harrah's - For Dinner

Month Visited: 08/05 - Good Meal

We had dinner at Ming's Table during our recent trip. We wanted to find something in a sit-down resturant that was reasonably priced. We were very happy with or selection of Ming's Table. The food was excellent: General's Chicken and Mongolian Beef. Both dinners were very flavorful and the portions were large. We did get the Shrimp and Vegetable rolls for an apetizer and these were a little small for the $6.99 price tag. The whole meal, including the tip, was just over $40. It was a very good deal, and the service was good as well.
