- Good Meal
My wife and I ate dinner here once. They had a special of Chicken and ribs. Well, this was a huge meal, we both could not finish it. The server was very friendly and helpful. The taste of the food was excellent. I am a lover of baked beans and the beans they served were to die for. I even conned my wife out of her's. I would recommend this restaurant.

Hi- I am headed to Vegas after a five year break. I was at first excited to know this restaurant was still around because I loved it when I last visited. After reading these comments though, I am disappointed as it sounds like it has changed- for the worse. I actually think I'm going to skip NYNY after all. More time to see something else I guess. Too bad service seems to be going downhill in so many places- it makes or breaks a restaurant and you'd think they would try a little harder.

Have eaten here twice while on two different trips to vegas. The fist time we ate here we were seated quickly and then approached by our waitress and asked what drinks we wanted while we were trying to decide she snaps at us if we understand english even though we were speaking english to each other. She was more content to spend her time with a group of 5 incredibly cowboys seated near us. Food was served quickly and was good and it was amazing how quick she came to the table to collect the tip which she certainly didnt seem impressed with. Returned here the following year as we did enjoy the food and were in nyny and were hungry. this time our waitress was really friendly but unfortunalety we waited ages for our food although the manager did come and apologize and in the time we waited i noticed two different people return their food to the kitchen!!.. Wont be back here again.

Hard to know where to start with this one. Yes, I read the comments and was forwarned. We saw the Rat Pack show at the Greek Isles Monday July 18th and were hungry afterwards. Since we stayed at NYNY America was convienient. First, the place is like a high school cafeteria! One big bare room with round tables and chairs set throughout a tiled floor. No carpet, tablecloths or wall decorations except for the big map of America hanging from the celing. Service was slow, the food was even slower and then the waiter brought the food in sections. First the sandwiches, then he remembered that fries came with it and brought them about 5-10 minutes later. Food was cold. It was interesting that people at the next table left and immediatly both the busboy and waiter were over there looking for a tip and shaking their head with a wry grin on their faces when they couldn't find one! Amazing how slow a waiter moves when taking your order and bringing your food but they slip into high gear the second you leave to dash over looking for their tip! NYNY, take some advice. Trash this place and put in a first class buffett instead with nice tables and carpet! That way your guests can serve themselves and not have to deal with waiters, poor service and cold food!

Based on my last visit to America, I'd have to rate this resturant poorly.
My boyfriend and I have dined here 3 times now. The first 2 times were wonderful, but my last time was enough of a bad experience to never want to again.
We arrived for dinner before a show. We allowed 2 hours to relax and have a drink and eat. We were seated very quickly, but getting a waitress to us was another story. We sat there for a good 10 minutes before being noticed. We ordered drinks while we browsed the menu. Drinks were nice and we ordered our food. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Fingers with mashed potaotes and I ordered a steak with veggies and a baked potatoe. It took 45 minutes to get our food, after we asked twice, we were finally served our meal. My meal however, was ice cold. I sent it back. 10 minutes later, they re-served my meal.....cold again. I sent it back again, they must have just put it in the microwave as the steak was hot, but the baked potatoe still cold. I gave up at this point and called it a meal over.
Upon this visit, I wouldn't recommend this resturant. And for god's sakes people.....VEGAS IS NOT FOR KIDS!!!!!! LEAVE THEM AT HOME!

When I went to this reastaurant it was almost empty. Service was good. The restarant itself is very enjoyable because it is so large and there is a lot of room in between tables. The food did take quite a while to prepara. I had a salad and chicken parmesan. The salad was great. The chicken parmesan is one of the few items on the menu that sounded appetizing. It comes with Fettucine pasta for some reason. I'm not sure where they use fettucine with marinara but it clearly is not the pasta of choice. The sauce tasted so so. The chicken was over-breaded and almost burned, dry and with little sauce and didn't taste particularly good. Since there isn't anything else interesting on the menu (which is filled with burgers, sandwiches and the like), there is no reason to return.

We wanted to try something different for breakfast so we choose to eat here. It's a shame it took us so long to try this place out. Interesting coffee shop atmosphere with a HUGE selection of choices for breakfast. Old standards mixed in with imaginative combinations. There have such a large menu that it can be difficult to select what you want. We'll have to go back as there were many things that looked really good but we weren't able to try.
Service was decent but not outstanding. Basic coffee shop service. The room is large, open and can be noisy.

After arriving very late into the hotel (our flight was delayed) and after being given the wrong room, my Mother and I went downstairs to have a relaxing meal in America. Boy…was I in for a shock. The 24 hr restaurant in most hotels is quiet and relaxing with good comfort food. America has an interesting giant map and other fun decor but has uncomfortable seats and a bare floor. They sat us near a couple of large loud groups and the noise was almost unbearable. There weren’t even that many people in the restaurant. I can’t imagine how bad it would have been if it were full!
Service was very slow and food was greasy. The selection didn’t impress me. The waitress was very nice and said they were short staffed. Almost left a couple of times due to slowness and noise but alas…we were hungry and it was 2 am.
Probably the worst experience I have had in a Vegas restaurant. I won’t be back.
