The Village Eateries - For Dinner

Month Visited: 06/08 - Undecided
We wanted to grab something quick after the Stomp Out Loud show on 06/13/08 and wandered into the Village Eateries. We decided on Broadway Burger. In the past I have been satisfied with the food and service. This visit was not so good. While the food was okay, although served colder than I prefer. The problem was that we managed to visit between showtimes for Zumanity so everyone was trying to dine either before or after the show. The folks in Broadway Burger could not keep up with the number of customers and orders were served out of turn and mixed up. It took 20 minutes to get our food and not all of it served at the same time. The staff needs to work on its efficiency and organization. I would be willing to give them another chance but I will be more aware of what time of day I go so as to avoid show crowds.

Not bad place to hang out, but the hotel should be embarrassed that it calls the pizza "New York Style" when it is clearly Chicago style. Tiny, puffy pieces of high school cafeteria pizza is hardly something you would find in NYC. They do serve until 3:00 am, so I guess at that time anything would taste good if you were hungry.

We ate ate a little deli named greenburgs or something like that. Their rubins are the best. And you sit in a little court yard that looks like a little back alliy in the real new york cool!!

If you go to Vegas to eat in all the fancy restaurants and spend $50+ per meal, then this isn't for you. And for lunch, a $5 piece of pizza is just great. I ate at the pizza place twice. quick, really decent pizza and cheap. don't go expecting the world's best NY style pizza - you're in the middle of the desert! But for $5 on the strip, you can't go wrong.

We ate at a deli here and the Reuben was out of this world. The service was authentic New York or what I would expect from New York. Well worth the money!

We love the fish place here! We have eaten here 3 times and it has always been excellent. We both ate for under $20, which is unheard of in Las Vegas on the strip. The food is cooked to order, so there is about a 10 minute wait, but it is the best fish and chips I have eaten.

PIZZA WAS SUPPOSED TO BE NEW YORK AND IT WAS NOT.... A LITTLE DISAPOINTED I HAD MY TASTEBUDS UP FOR A REAL SLICE. CANOLLIES AT THE BAKERY WERE REAL GOOD, SO WERE THE FISH AND CHIPS......

I had heard about the pizza here being like New York pizza, but was a little disappointed. I had a slice of sausage pizza and a soda, and paid almost $6. The slice of pizza was smaller than you'd expect to find in NY, and the crust was a little thicker than I would have liked. At best, the pizza was average. What you'd find at a place like Sbarro. Not New York or New Have pizzeria.

I heard about it. I tried it. Now I probably won't go back.

My girlfriend and I ordered a whole cheese pie...be prepared to wait. They said 25 minutes but 45 minutes later we finally got our pizza. Slices are big but not NY size big. However, I found the pizza to be very good and my girlfriend loved it. So take it for what it is, a busy, slow-moving, tasty fast-food pizza joint.

We ate at the fish eatery. I had a bowl of clam chowder served in a bread bowl and my husband had the fish & chips. He said his food was very good. The chowder was wonderful and reminded me of a bread bowl chowder I had on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, which was the best I've ever had.
