Sonrisa Grill in MonteLago Village Resort-Lake Las Vegas - For Dinner

I called to make a reservation and use a gift certificate when the manager refuse to accept it. She then argued with me for about 20 minutes and called me all kinds of names. Not professional at all!!! Will NEVER go to the restaurant and neither should you.‎

Food was good. Service was horrible, waiter ignored us and served other folks that were seated after us. We had to ask the busboy for service. Even then, the waiter was very rude and told us to wait , and said he'll get to us. The place wasn't busy either, only 2-3 other patrons. He rather serve the blondes, and ignore the Asians. Was ready to walk out before he came to take our orders, and still was not friendly at all, didn't even ask if everything was ok, or if we wanted cocktails. We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton that week and did not bother to go back, nor will we ever eat there again.

We were told when we made our reservations that they probably wouldn’t be necessary which proved to true. There was a free concert by Genevieve on the green that evening so the terrace was full, but the dining room was empty with the exception of one other table. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but I doubt if overhead expenses are covered except on weekdays. The waitress asked if we wanted guacamole with our chips and we responded affirmatively. The guacamole was very good and we were amazed that it was complimentary since other restaurants charge $6-10 per order. The restaurant serves both traditional Tex-Mex dishes and “fresh” seafood entrees. We each chose the “fresh” halibut in spinach cream sauce which was accompanied by chipotle mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots. The halibut, if in fact was fresh, was overcooked and dry. At the conclusion of the meal, I was surprised, but shouldn’t have been, to find a $6 charge for the guacamole included on our bill. 1.5 Forks out of 5
