Greeted with a smile and a warm welcome at the door. Service was excellent.. Nothing was to much trouble. Water glasses renewed without asking. Meal was cooked to perfection chef came to the table and asked if everything was OK and if we needed anything special we only had to ask!! If you want an Old Vegas atmosphere with Old Vegas Service visit the House of Lords. I will again.

This was my first time in the Sahara in many years. I did not like the decor of the place and The House of
Lords is not at all what it used to be. There were 4 of us and I had the most expensive meal and the
worst. I had the Steak and Lobster. The only thing I liked was the lobster. The steak was so so and over
cooked. The mashed potatoe was spiced funny, and 3 limp asperigus ( can't spell it). The plate was hot
but the food was not, it had been sitting in the kitchen. I asked for bernaise sauce which the waiter
brought out in a small dish, about 4 tablespoons full. He said he was not charging me for it. At $62 for
an ordinary meal, I hope not. My wife had the scallops which she said were excellent but not hot. I was
not impressed and the place is way out of date along with the hotel.

Excellent value and dinner. Wife had the celebration menu which was $38. This included a choice of appetizer(she selected the excellent crab cake which was $13 a la carte(, bone in rib eye steak(two other choices) a glass of wine, dessert(choice of two) and coffee. Excellent and cooked perfectly. I had the queen cut prime rib which also was prepared exactly as requested, medium rare. All entrees come with vegeatable and potatoe. Prime rib was $24. With a bottle of wine and the use of restaurant.com $25 certificate, the bill with tip was approximately $100. Will definitely return. This was our first time eating at the House of Lords, and will be repeat visitors.

Let me start by saying I stayed at the Sahara on this vacation. I have to say that after ~15 visits to Las Vegas for pleasure only, this was the first time I stayed out of the centre strip. I won't hold my sentiments towards the hotel against this restaurant; because I can't. I enjoyed my filet mignon so much, that I might even consider staying at the Sahara again, just to be closer to this restaurant. The steak arrived exactly as I had ordered it. The flavour of the steak was out of this world. I also ate at "The Steak House" @ the Circus Circus but in my humble opinion, the House of Lords deserves the 17 awards.
The ambiance is a little dated; but that's what you get from a casino/hotel built in the early 1950's. The service was "lovely". Inside joke; the m'aitre d, Joe, responded with "lovely" to every food order and request of him. Our waiter was simply fantastic. He was there to refill our glasses of water or bread basket without even asking.
If you are looking for value, I don't believe a steak house is the place to look. The restaurant is nicely located off the casino floor.
Needless to say, I will eat here again and again with each subsequent visit.

Old Vegas institution - probably past its prime. Service was excellent and interior is kind of nice - but food was not up to the challenge. Virtually every strip hotel steakhouse has the same prices, so there is no reason to choose this one. All four in our party agreed that the quality of the meat is a cut below the other strip hotels. Not cooked bad, just fatty and kind of grainy. Overall, a good meal - just not worth $50+ per person. Creme brulee dessert was excellent, most of the side dishes were okay, but not special. Caeser Salad was mediocre, as was lobster bisque.
If you have to dine in the Sahara, stick with the mexican place. If you are at The Sahara and want a steak - go to Stardust, Circus Circus or anyother nearby strip hotel instead.

We treated ourselves to dinner here during a slot tournament. The restaurant
is Old Las Vegas--all plush, dark and romantic. The maitre'd was polite and
accommodating and our waiter was excellent.
I dined on lobster tail and my husband had the beef Oscar. Both were delicious
and every last bite disappeared. We shared creme brulee for dessert, and washed
down the meal with champagne. One nice touch was the sorbet between courses.
We dined early-about 5:45, and noticed the restaurant was filling up as we left.
Next time, we'd like to try the "Celebration Dinner" which also offers a nice
choice of courses.
My only wish is for more separation between smokers and non-smokers. Everything
else was just perfect. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

A wonderful dining experience. The service was top notch by our waiter, named John. Two of us had the NY strip, it was cooked the way we requested it and it was a good size as well. It is a high end restaurant, but the prices are reasonable for a high end place. We two steaks, appetizers, multiple glasses of wine and dessert for around $100.00. Person it's a the best steak place on the north strip and one of the best in LV. It's a very dimmly lighted place, so not the most family friendly of places, but that's why there is Circus Circus.

The house of lords, I feel is a great place to have a good stake and enjoy the fine surroundings. We try to eat here at least once or twice a year while we are in las vegas.

This is not a cheap meal but worth every dime! I ordered the bone-in ribeye, which was melt-in-your-mouth cooked to perfection. The service was top notch - professional and attentive but not overbearing. Wife had a filet mignon that was equally as good. Easy access from the valet. A memorable meal.

Wow! this is a great steakhouse. If you want to see how Vegas is REALLY supposed to be, leave your kids at home with grandma, (where they belong) and enjoy an intimate dinner as a couple here. We enjoyed the fabulous service and food, and decor so much we made dinner reservations for our NEXT visit in November before we left. I've been going to LV since 1978. This is so much the Vegas I have come to love, what a class act.
