Picasso - For Dinner

This restaurant has the best reason to go............window seats overlooking the fountains,oh and the food is good too.Small portions so make the most of a long languid dinner here, yes it is expensive, but the degustation menu with the wine sampler is worth it,we enjoyed the whole experience,as I have said the food was good but without the good service and setting it would have been too expensive. The crowning experience was coffeee on the outdoor patio watching the fountains play.We paid over $400 for two and were still charged extra for the two coffees after....Guys this is not IHOP but coffe is free in IHOP!!!
Would we return OH YES!!!

I think this restaurant is fantastic. Yes, it is expensive, but you know that going in. I found the food to be
flawless, service wonderful, and of course the atmosphere is great.

Someone mentioned being annoyed that the meal took 3 hours. Meals like this do take this long. I hate to
be rushed, and after paying so much I want the meal to last a long time. (I used to live in France, and 3
hours is not uncommon for a special meal.) If you are in a hurry, this is definitely not a place for you.

Went last night and spent over 600 dollars for 4 people. My date is still curled over the toilet!! You figure a restaurant that has 60 million dollars worth of paintings could at least cook the food correctly!! My advise is to turn right when going down the escalators!! You will see an much better restaurant(Prime)!!

To celebrate my 10year anniverary. I booked dinner reservations about 2 months ago. I was given a 6:30pm reservation. We were seated in front of one of the two large windows that viewed the bellagio lake. One thing that I liked about this restuarant is the limited choices that are given to you. I can never make up my mind when there are too many selections to choose from. They had two menus to choose from. One the Degustation Menu which was a set menu with only two entree choices, Lamb or fish.. And a pris fix menu where you can choose one dish from each course. We choose the Degustation Menu along with the wine pairing. $153.00 per person.
We ordered a glass of champagne each to toast to another 10years together! at $29.00 per glass.
Now to mention the absolute best service in the world. Staff was quite personable. Explained all wines in detail. Since every course had a specific wine paired to it. The courses are all quiet small. However when you finish with all five you are quiet full. We had crab salad, scallap (yes one large one), fois gras (best I have ever had) I the snapper, my husband the lamb. Mine was good. His was fantastic served with truffle mashed potatoes.
For dessert he had the straberry parfit with black pepper ice cream.. Who would have thought. Black pepper. It was to die for. I had the berry napolean with lemon sobet. Very very good.
Dinner was quiet comical too. A bug landed in my tea after finsihing my last bite of dessert. Waiter was very quick to remove the plate... Poor bug wanted to try the food too. (I like the finer things in life but try to find humor in all situations)
The waiter brought us out a glass of port each compliments of Picasso's very very good sweet, strong port.
With tip bill came to $450.00 Dinner and bill will be memorable for a very very very long. Time. Will I do it over again.? In a heartbeat!

My husband I decided to do a run Vegas to do a early celebration of our 3rd Anniversary. Since it was kind of a celebration and we were doing well financialy I decided and I wanted to have a fancy dinner among Picasso's. Sure, you would say that my opinion is based on an experience over a year old and there have been others who have made valid points. That is why I took the approach that I needed to put my two cents in. I am not one who puts my ratings on websites but some of the comments really touch a nerve. Everyone who is considering this restaurant should take it as a place where you can see Picasso's that you can't see anywhere else. In addition, you're getting a gourmet meal with the wine pairings done for you.

I am both a foodie and a wine collector. For a highly sought restaurant, the entire experience was great. We had reservations for 7:30 and were seated promptly in a half booth/table. The was a nice quiet hum to the place and a surprisingly clean smell in the air (fresh mountain air). The waiter was very attentive and explained all the menu choices very well and informed me of what to expect with each course. I loved that I didn't have to worry about choosing a wine for each course. That would have easily cost me more than the charge for premium wine pairings. We had the degustation menu with my husband getting the fish and I got the lamb. Everything was exquisitely prepared and the wine paired beautifully. The only thing that I would do differently next time is bring my wine tasting notebook so that I can make note of the wines and buy them for other meals. Yes the meal took a long time, however, you have to think about the fact that it may be better not to rush through all five courses and get all the flavors all mixed up. Each course came with adequate breathing period between each course to allow you to finish your glass of wine and for them to pour the wine for the next course. The reason for mentioning the air is that the people seated at the next table selected an entirely different menu than we did and when their food came to the table, there was no smell wafting over to our table and making me smell their food. I was able to enjoy the whole experience (look, smell, and flavor) of what I had selected.

My husband is a man who does not like dressing up for anything and when I printed the menu from the website for him to look at, his comment was "What!? Only one scallop!?" After the visit, he now looks forward to the next time we get to go there. We go to Vegas about every six months for a quick relaxing weekend and we love all the different gourmet restaurants in Vegas. However, if I were trying to impress someone who would appreciate both the ambiance, food and wine, I would take them here. If we're in Vegas for our next anniversary I would select this restaurant in a heartbeat.

My wife and I were looking to have a nice meal at nice restaurant and this is the one we picked. We both had the 5 coure meal for $95/each. We had soft drinks which they soaked us for another $4/each (not on the menu). Our bill was $212 plus a $32 tip made it a $244 dinner. If we had wine it would have been another $120. We had reservations at 6:30pm and were seated on time. Our waiter was a very annoying arrogant gay man. He was the Eddy Haskel of waiters and kissed my butt more than I could tolerate. The food was good, not great, but wife had the Halibit and said it was dry. I had Lamb and it was good. Besides the waiter, the meal took entirely too long to be served. We were seated at 6:30pm and left the restaurant at 9:20pm. This was as soon as we finished our desserts and not by choice. I was bored out of my mind waiting for the courses of this meal to be served. Hey, I didn't want to be rushed, but I did not want to spend 3 hours there either. It destroyed our entire night. And everyone around us looked to be on the same timetable. So, just be prepared to wait as it takes a long time to eat there. I think I will be eating at Renoir's next time I am in Vegas.

The evening met our high expectations. Excellent food, with terrific wine pairings on both menus. Our waiter got a little distracted by some large tables, but not much of a problem. The surroundings are lovely, and our view of the fountains added to the experience.

My cheeseburger was overdone, but still cold when i recieved it. And i've had MUCH better french fries at other places. my friend said that the polish sausage that he ordered was really good, but that it needed more mustard.
But the paintings on the walls were kinda cool.

This place is as good as you've heard, and as expensive as you've heard. But I'd dine there again.

The ambience of Picasso is wonderful. Dining while looking at these priceless works of art is something to behold. Additionally, you have a ground floor view of the fountains during your meal. The food is quite good, BUT the cost is astronomical. We enjoyed the price fixe menu which was $80.00 a person. By the time we had one glass of wine, each, and dessert and coffee, the tab came to almost $300.00. While the food was good, this cost is not, and the value just is not there. I expected to be knocked over by the food, and although it was good, it just wasn't the "Home Run" I expected. The quality of the desserts was not what you would expect from such a restaurant and Picasso was missing some of the extras you think of in a five star place. For example, there was no intermezzo, or sorbet, prior to the main course. Is this necessary? No, but in a place like this, this extra touch is exactly what you would expect.

As for the food, we had a quail appetizer that was quite good and the beef rib dinner was so tender I could cut it with a spoon. If you go, be prepared for a high cost, good (but not great) food and you will miss some of the extra touches you really expect.
