I will be sorry to see this close. I stopped in for a last Warp Core Breach.

There is so much potential here but the menu lacked inspiration and the food lacked taste. The atmosphere you would think would mimic Quark's bar but not a Star Trek resident was at the bar drinking or eating. They didn't have to have look a likes but just people dressed in costume pretending to eat, being loud, bringing that atmosphere into the bar. Instead you are met with pretty lights and that is about it. I personally felt the menu was heavy on the seafood and lacked diversity. The pizza was okay but don't expect anymore than okay. After having such a good experience with the ride, I assumed that would have been an equally pleasing one but I was wrong.

Quarks is THE destination in Vegas if you are a Star Trek fan. Yes the food at Quarks is good, but the actors and atmosphere are the reason people go there. If you speak a little Klingon, then you will have a great time with the Klingons who work there. The menu is that of an upscale hamburger joint with Star Trek names. Next to the restaurant is a Star Trek gift shop and a museum. At the gift shop you can find everything from tribbles for about 5 bucks to costumes and other Star Trek stuff for thousands of dollars.

Quark's Bar & Restaurant - For Lunch

Stopped in Quark's for a snack and couple of ales between rides at the Star Trek Experience the afternoon of 7/7/05 in the LV Hilton. A big letdown. Food and beer were OK if a bit on the pricy side but not a Ferengi character was to be found. A fairly plesant young HUMAN male was working the bar. And none too quickly at that. We were in the mood to be entertained with a picture or two and lightheated banter with our brews and a "Warp Core Breech". No such luck. Oh well. Only saw one Klingon stalking the halls. I wanted this to be a good review. I'm a Star Trek fan and will return but a lot of people won't if this slack attitude continues.

Wonderful atmosphere. Sat underneath the Enterprise. While true that it's basic "Friday's" fare, it's the atmosphere that you're going for, not the food. Hamburgers and onion rings tower are done nicely. While we didn't order drinks, we saw other tables with very exotic looking libations. All in all, it was a fun lunch.

We come to this place every time we visit Vegas. We LOVE the Star Trek Experience, and it wouldn't be complete without eating at Quarks!! LAst year, we got married in Vegas, so we brought the kids with us, and they LOVED it as well. First thing...Get the Onion Rings. They are the best I have ever had, the are served like a tower, which is very cool, and come with 3 different sauces for dipping. The burgers are great, and my daughter had a salad, which was excellent. THIS IS A GOOD TIME!

Being a LV Native, I don't usually frequent the Strip Hotel restaurants too often unless meeting up with out-of-town visitors. Decided this would be good place to meet up with friends who'd come to town and stayed at the Hilton Vacation Club - they'd brought their 2 girls (5ish/8ish). Last time I'd eaten at Quark's, they had kid menus as well as specialty drinks that were multi-colored/smoking - really the type of things that excite kids. However, upon arriving, we were told there were no kid meals. We decided to go ahead, figuring the characters and drinks might still save the night. We were there on a Friday night, prime dinner time - between 6:30 and 7 pm. Only 1 character came through while we waited for dinner - one of the Cyborg characters which scared the girls more than anything as they dove under the table. The drinks still available but not the one I remembered. Only 1 was really available without alcohol - and it was a passionfruit juice with dry ice. Rather than order 1 drink, we ordered 2 so the girls wouldn't fight however, 1 was a dud and didn't "smoke/bubble" much. Of the 3 meals ordered (girls shared), 2 were definite let-downs - steak had much more fat than we thought it should and was tough, stirfry was lukewarm and rice seemed underdone. The pasta dish was the winner.

If I'd not been there with kids before, I probably would have hesitated. But next time, it's definitely off the list.

i went to Quark's last night. Although I can't say I'm quite as enthusiastic about the place as a lot of other reviewers here, I did like it. On the plus side, the food was decent, basically Friday's fare but with Star Trek names and descriptions. The drink selection is fun and quite varied. The service was fine, friendly enough certainly. Didn't have a problem with slow service that others have mentioned, but that might have been because the place was pretty dead last night. Some of the negatives ... the place is definitely pricey for what you're getting. Like I said, Friday's fare, but about 20+% more expensive. If part of what you're paying for is the Star Trek experience and ambience, then it would have been nice to see them put a little more money into the details. For example, the old boxy 17" TVs behind the bar (playing Star Trek movies, of course) looked like horribly out-of-date relics. Why not spend a few extra dollars and get plasma or LCD TVs? A lot of other Star Trek accessories and decorations looked plasticky and cheap. Overall, I don't regret going there, but now that I experienced the novelty of the place, I doubt I'd go back.
