Verandah Cafe - For Dinner

The Verandah really is a hidden gem. A relaxing, quiet restaurant. The main restaurant for the Four Seasons Hotel (attached to the Mandalay Bay). They serve breakfast in the morning but at night, its a fancy, classy place. Service is excellent; not quite the 5 Diamond level with 3 or 5 various servers moving in and out but excellent nonetheless. Saturday night at 8 pm not crowded at all. Menu is a bit limited so check it out on the Four Seasons Vegas web site. Price are $25-$40 for complete dinner; a fair value for what you receive. Very good food. High end stemware and plateware. Very comfortable and relaxing. We always like high end dinners in Las Vegas and we'll definitely be back to the Verandah.

A little pricy for lunch but a fine meal with really good service and a quiet escape from the casino. A bit of a walk from Mandalay Bay but well worth it. Big portions of good food.

Overall I enjoyed my dinner at the Four Seasons but I'm not sure it met my expectations after reading the other reviews. The setting is very tranquil and romantic and the service is definitely 5 star. The choices were a little limited for vegetarian entrees (pasta, and more pasta)but the penne putanesca served it's purpose. The foccacia bread was a nice variation to traditional bread baskets.

Although Verandah is the Four Season Hotel's main restaurant (translates as "coffee shop" in other Hotels) it is far from what one would expect from a "main" restaurant. The decor is sedate, quiet, and relaxed, the service impeccable (they asked how those in our party wanted to be addressed and they offered dark napkins for those with dark colored pants). The food was original and outstanding from appetizer through dessert. Wines are excellent too, and above all, the prices are considerably less than at comparable establishments. A true find for a special dinner. Although I said that this establishment isn't "family friendly" (there is no child's menu, etc) a family with well behaved children would certainly enjoy their dining experience here.

Best pancakes I've ever eaten. Bacon ordinary, but pastries great as well. Unusual mix of people in this restaurant. I saw people in suits, some dressed resort casual, and others in jeans and shorts. Service was surprisingly off and slow for a restaurant only half full. They forgot our sides and mixed up who got what. Very expensive as you might expect from the Four Seasons. We tried it because there was a line at Raffles Cafe in Mandalay Bay and here we could walk right in. Would definitely visit again.

Best kept secret in Las Vegas. This is by far the best meal I ever had in Vegas, that didn't break my wallet. We had the 3 course meal ($33 each), a bottle of wine and it's still 1/3 cheaper than Renoir (and sooooo much better).

I would recommend this place too for people with kids (not out of control kids). Even though I don't want the peacefulness to be interruppted, this is a place where your family can eat without too much stimulation around you. Most kids in the restaurants are actually a lot calmer than those in the buffet lines.

And the servers are very attentive.

great restaurant, wonderful service and no crowd. $100 for two including three glasses of wine and one dessert. go for the price fix including two glasses of wine for $45. it is a steal and the food is great. wife did not have the price fix, but chose the peppercorn scallops as recommended here and loved it.

The Verandah is absolutely the best restaurant in Las Vegas. The seafood lasagna and pepercorn scallops are wonderful as are each of the appetizers and desserts we ordered. The staff is attentive, courteous and quite helpful. The atmosphere is also far superior to other overcrowded loud restaurants in Vegas. After eating here on the first night of our three night visit we came back to eat here again on the third night. My only regret is that we didn't eat there EVERY night we stayed!

This little treasure, tucked inside the Four Seasons, seems to be the one secret that has not gotten out. It was not crowded, and the service was phenomenal. The menu is varied: there is a seafood section, a meat and pasta section, and a chef's selection. For $29 a person, the chef's selection is a steal. It includes an appetizer, main course, and dessert. The service here has all the right touches: When the hostess showed us to our table, she noticed my dark pants and had my white napkin changed to a black one. Not a detail was missed throughout the experience. This is a great place to go to have a nice quiet meal without all the crowds.
