My wife ordered easy over eggs with wheat toast, home fries, bacon and coffee. I decided to go large by ordering a blackboard special – 8 ounce steak, eggs, sourdough toast and home fries. Our food arrived promptly, but I was disappointed in the size of my steak in comparison to those at surrounding tables, mine was obviously the runt of the litter. Could barely find a part of my steak that wasn't tough or full of fat, and my friend's feet blew up like two balloons as she suffered on the flight home since we stopped there before she boarded her flight from the high content of sodium on her meat.Terrible    19567

i rate this highly. a little out of the way, but well worth it. have visited for the 3 meals of the day at different times. the corner of koval and flamingo. i even win a little bit there every time. so we eat free. i read they were going to expand to a 600+ room casino/hotel. if so i hope they keep their meals as they do now. go now before they change.

The price has gone up to $6.95 for the steak special but it comes with a root beer or beer.
The quality has gone down. My last 2 visits the baked potato was cold. BOO!!!
The green beans are undercooked, No bread/rolls served/offered.
The steak was still good.

What are they thinking. Marcus must not be the F/B manager anymore.

They need to clean up their act.
Right now I will only go back for the Cheap breakfast.

When I got a good special meal I would always go play $100. Most of the time I lost. No more until changes are made.

We ate here 11/10/07 around lunch time. Used the LVA 2-4-1 coupon with players card and saved money on what was a good meal of country fried steak, eggs and hashbrowns for me and one of the cheeseburgers and fries for mom. Both meals were generously proportioned and tasted great. Service was a little slow but I gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was lunch time and busy. This continues to be a favorite and I know we will return again.    18859

We heard about Ellis prior to our trip to Vegas and thought we would give it a try. The Breakfast was OUTSTANDING if your looking for a GREAT value. There was about a 15 minute wait ( the restaurant is small and friendly). Once seated we had excellant waiters who were working very hard. I ordered a ham and eggs breakfast for 6.99 and received alot of food. my wife ordered the two eggs and pancakes meal. When you compare this restaurant to the BUFFETS costing 20-30$ each, this was well worth it. My bill was around $15.00 for bot of us and we walked out VERY FULL and SATISFIED. If you are looking for a high end, fancy restaurant then ELLIS is not you place. If you are looking for alot of food at a GREAT price and one of the old time cheap meals, then definately go out of your way and stop by Ellis for a meal. We heard so much about Ellis Island from the Travel Channel, about the price and quality of food. When we visited, we did have a long wait,about 30 mins. that was no problem. 1) The problem started when we got seated, there was no silverware or place mats, it took about 10 - 15 mins before someone came to our table, and my husband had to go up front to ask if anyone was going to sever us. 2) Our waiter took our order and never asked what we would like to drink. 3) Never served bread or rolls with our salad, that lady said they come with dinner, but never did! We also asked about steak specials and we were told there was none!!!! What happened about the $4.95 Steak Special????? 4) We also ordered beer with dinner and we were charged a 1.50 not 1.00 it was never taken off our bill like they said it would. We are very disappointed in Ellis Island and we will never go back again and we will also let others know about our expecience. Also we tried to talk to someone about the matters above, and we were laughed at. Last but not least, there were 2 tables of people that were waited on before we were when they were after us. Now tell me thats FAIR!!! The food was very good, but the service was VERY, VERY, VERY POOORRRR!!!!!    19316
