I have eaten here on every trip to LV over the years and the service is really getting better. Generaly it's on my "backup" lists, but may move up a few notches. When most of the others are down for cleaning or nightly downtime, time to stop in. Food is not as great as the others, but still better prices on a prime rib then you would get at home anyway. The shrimp cocktail is $2 in the diner, but if you go arround the corner you can go to the deli and get it for $1 for the same thing. Most of the other meals in the deli seem a little prices for what you get, as who would want a chicken salad sandwich when you could pay the same price for the 1/2 chicken dinner? My new wife always has to stop into the deli a few times every visit to LV for the 99 cent Shrimp Cocktail, as she said it's the best on Freemont St.

Stopped in to have the famous shrimp cocktail for 99 cents.
While we waiting in line to get our cocktails, we watched sandwiches being made for other customers. We enjoyed our cocktails and went back out to the casino and Freemont St. At about 11pm we decided we were hungry again, it was to late to go to a buffet so we headed back to the deli for a sandwich. What a value. The sandwich was piled high with meat and condiments. We could not resist one last stop before our late flight the next night to try the famous hot dog. Another great value. We will definately be stopping by again.

first thing i do when i get the rental car is head for freemont st.,checkin to the fitz,and head for the .99 cent shrimp cocktail at the GOLDEN GATE. best sanwiches in vegas,and a great price.love the piano player.

Go and have there shrimp cocktail. Good value for the money. They were 4 in our party they just coudln't beleive it 99 cents for all that shrimp. Can't wait to go back and have another.

A trip downtown isn't complete without a deli sandwich and an ice cold beer at the Golden Gate. It is always so fresh. The sandwiches are so big I usualy skip the shrimp cocktail, after all the great posts about them I will spend the extra 99 cents next time to try one.
