Visited here for second time. It's not a bad restaurant, but there's nothing special about it to make me want to return and spend the high LV prices they charge. Although their prices aren't bad for LV standards, there's nothing memorable about it. We've sat outside - and it was noisy - and hardly romantic. We've sat inside (in a strange configured room) - and it was OK. The fact that the inside room opens to the canal shoppes and the noise etc - doesn't give it much atmosphere The service the first time was slow and slower. The service this time was good and the waiter knew his stuff. But a table of 13 getting a little tipsy and the noise from outside squashed any talking or romance at this meal. The restaurant was not that busy on a Friday night --- so I don't know - maybe others are catching on also.
The food was very good and the menu was also varied enough to allow a fine selection. But I'll spend my $$ somewhere else in town.

We enjoyed the view of St. Mark’s Square in the Grand Canal Shoppes while dining in the open café and listening to the music by street performers. The food was not as good as we expected. The pumpkin soup was good, but the beef ravioli were undercooked, and the cioppino (seafood stew) tasted like they cooked a couple of rotten mussels in it.

My husband had the risotto with leeks and chicken. The risotto was perfect, the chicken just OK. I had some dental work and could only eat soup, so I had the pumpkin soup. It was almost tasteless and very watery. They had added fried sage leaves and even though I removed them the taste permiated the soup and ruined what taste was there. If you want good soup go to Commander's Palace. The service was just OK nothing special. Very disappointing as I always watch Wolfgang's shows on Food Network and expected more.

Request "Steven" to be your waiter and sit in one of comfortable booths on the wall. We had three dinners at nice restaurants including Prime Steak @ Belagio and this was our best service. I had read a negative comment by a guest in Dec04, but whatever he experienced did not occur with our dinner. This was simply an outstanding dinner.

We sat inside but could still hear the loud music out in the "mall" area which competed with the music in the restaurant. That detracted from an otherwise elegant environment. The service was top notch and the food was excellent. I had the scallops, where were extraordinary. My husband had the tuna (very rare) and he loved it. We'll be back!

My wife and I were on our 12th visit to Las Vegas. Usually reviews that say things like "one of the 10 best restaurants in the world" mean that even if it's not true, you'll at least have a wonderful dining experience. Perhaps we caught them on a bad night, but Postrio wasn't even among the top 10 restaurants at the Venetian. We'd had reservations for about a month and yet we were hidden away in a forgotten corner of the place. We had to basically hunt for our waiter every time we needed something like another drink or a refill on water. At the times when he finally did show up he seemed rushed and was impersonal. When our entree arrived it was nothing special (butter poached lobster with risotto)which was brought to us at just above room temperature. To top it off there was a large party of perhaps 20 guests who stood (not sat) around their table for a good 30 minutes before leaving, all the while talking at the tops of their lungs and disturbing those seated around them. After several tables complained the manager explained that there was little he could do and that they would be leaving soon. Not to be a snob, but if you advertise as one of the 10 best restaurants in the world you need to enforce a dress code to keep people like that out. Otherwise you become trendy, but not "fine" and your space will be occupied by another trendy restaurant shortly.

Although the menu and atmosphere is very adult, I brought my children with me (11 and 14). We had a party of 17 and were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. In many restaurants, service is fair at best for such a large party, so we did not know what to expect. We had excellent service and everybody was very accomodating in creating menu items for my children. All of our guests were impressed with the presentation of their meals and of the attention everybody received. The staff at Postrio certainly helped to make this an unforgettable event for my parents. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone going to Las Vegas and will definitely eat there again on my next visit.

I enjoyed the lobster club sandwich. The seating outside of the restaurant is a nice change of pace from the dim indoor seating. I had a pasta dish for dinner. Most of the dishes are nice but not outstanding.

Excellent Meal. I sat "outside" with a party of 5. The wait staff was attentive and the food was very good. I ordered the lasagna, and it's probably the best lasagna you can get anywhere. Puck's restaurants are always very good, and I've eaten at 3 of them. This one is the best value, Spago has food that is just as good and a fantastic wait staff, and Chinois is good, but not in the same level.
Overall, postrio is well worth a visit.
