We ate at Marino's 3 years ago and loved it. It was upscale, the service was exceptional, as was the food. The crab cakes were to die for and the rest of the meal was excellent!! We highly anticipated our return, but were highly disappointed. Perhaps the economy has taken it's toll. The upscale ambience was gone, the wine list was in "transition." I ordered crab cakes and they were no where near as they were 3 years ago. The salad with the meal was OK...pretty much out of a bag. My wife ordered medium prime rib. It arrived rare so she asked that it be brought back as medium. She has never returned something to be re-cooked or because she didn't like it before. When it came back it was medium, but it was a different, much smaller and thinner piece of meat. Overall, we were very disappointed although the lady server did a good job. The meal was satisfactory for the price...the prices are reasonable, but the whole experience was a real let-down. We wish them success, but hope this review is forwarded to the restaurant or to Dan, himself. Thank you.    20118

I first visited Dan Marino's in Ft. Lauderdale. They had the BEST spinach salad I ever had. Imagine my suprise going in to Hooter's at my boyfriend's request.....Dan Marino's!!!! I ordered the crab cakes, OMG they are to die for. I told everyone I met about this restraunt. The servers were very attentive, we had a grand time. We actually ate there 3 times that trip. We are getting married this weekend 5/07, in Vegas, and at MY request, we are staying at Hooters, so we can take advantage of Dan Marino's!    19032

Dan Marino's is a great addition to the Las Vegas restaurant scene. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable considering the quality. It is located in the new Hooters Hotel, which is 100% nicer than the old San Remo. The menu for Dan's is pretty extensive--covering steaks, seafood, pasta, and the house specialties. I went with the Prime Rib (which was as good as Lawry's) and my wife had the Filet of Beef Tips in a mushroom wine sauce. Our server was very attentive and refilled our drinks on a timely basis. Our entire bill came to $80 after tax and tip, which was great considering we had 2 salads, 2 entrees, 2 sodas, and 1 desert. Would totally recommend to anyone that wants the fine dining experience and quality without the fine dining price. We will definitely visit Dan Marino's again.    17176
