We were a little worried when we first walked in that there wasn't many people there at 6:00 and some other restaurants were getting busy. by the time we left it was really busy. Meal was outstanding. My wife and I split the Chinois Chicken Salad. It was really good. I could go to Chinois and eat nothing but it and be happy. We ordered the Sesame chicken and Kung Pao chicken. I was really looking forward to this meal because we have always wanted to eat there, but never seemed to make it. This time we did, but I wish we had not! Let's just say that PF Changs is much better than Chinois. The service was great, but the food was just okay. The atmosphere is also rather strange. The tables were set up where you may have others at your table. It was very crowded inside, but not in a classy way. In fact, it seemed like a bunch of tables crammed into a small space with a wooden screen to hide the dirty kitchen in the back. I was very disappointed and wished we had tried one of the other numerous Asian restaurants in Vegas.    16751

My husband and I loved this restaurant. We enjoyed every dish that we ordered. The spicy thai Chicken Katsu apetizer was the absolute best! It gets very busy at dinner time and we had to sit at the bar but they serve the full menu at the bar also. Plus, we were able to watch the sous chefs prepare some of the dishes and when we asked they would explain the different ingredients. I'm a foodie and my husband is to some extent also and so I found it to be very informative. Everyone was friendly and nice to us and I didn't feel any negativity from any of the staff. (I am Hispanic and the previous reviewer felt that they were discriminated against.) Here's a tip....go during happy hour (5-7pm i think). They have drink and apetizer specials. MY MOTHER'S DAY DINNER WITH MY ADULT CHILDREN WAS COMPLETELY RUINED!!!!!! WE HAD RESERVATIONS THROUGH THE INTERNET, I GAVE THE "STAFF" MY CONFIRMATION NUMBER TOLD THEM WE HAD A DINNER AND SHOW PACKAGE AND WE WERE TOLD THEY HAD NO RESERVATIONS FOR "OUR GROUP". THEY TOLD US WE COULD ONLY ORDER FROM A CERTAIN MENU AND WE COULD NOT ORDER FROM THEIR REGULAR MENU AND ALL WE COULD HAVE WAS CHICKEN AND THEN THEY ATTEMPTED TO SEAT USUS IN THE FURTHEST, DARKEST CORNER OF THE RESTAURANT AND THERE WERE ABOUT 8 EMPTY TABLES. WE OBJECTED AND ASKED TO BE SEATED ELSEWHERE. THE WAITER CAME OUT AND STATED "OH I SEE YOU ARE THE "INTERNET GROUP. YOU CAN NOT ORDER DINNER FROM OUR REGULAR MENU, BUT, WE WILL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO DRINK AFTER YOU PAY FOR IT". OF COURSE, WE DID NOT EAT THERE BECAUSE WE PICKED OURSELVES UP FROM OUR SEATS (ALL SIX OF US) AND WALKED OUT OF THE RESTAURANT FULLY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE CAUCAUSIAN ATMOSPHERE WAS NOT PREPAREDFOR LATIN AMERICANS TO EAT AT CHINOIS. EVEN THOUGH THEY ALL APPEARED TO BE $1.98 EMPLOYEES WHO WERE ABOUT TO SERVE A MILITARY PERSON, A LEGAL PROFESSIONAL, A CLOTHING DESIGNER, AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, AND A REAL ESTATE TITLE PROFESSIONAL". I WAS HUMILIATED, EMBARRASSED AND DOWN RIGHT ANGRY FOR THE STUPIDITY THAT MYSELF AND FAMILY HAD TO ENCOUNTER ON OUR FIRST FAMILY VACATION IN 15 YEARS. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. We went to Las Vegas as an office (10 people) and were looking for a good resturant and read great reviews on this site for Chinois. Everything we read was correct! Chinois was excellent. The hostess was very polite and showed us right to our table. Our waiter was terrific. He answered all our questions about the menu items and which wine would be good with our meals. The food was outstanding. We didn't go with the family style type meal and ordered off the menu and had quite the variety of food. No one was unhappy with what they ordered. The sushi platter was amazing, as were the rest of the meals. I've eaten at PF Changs before and Chinois is by far and away better. I (and the rest of the group) would highly recommend eating at Chinois. I would recommend making a reservation.    13080
