Canter's Deli - For Lunch

This place dishes up deli food of good quality - their hot dog isn't the best for a quick bite (it takes a little time to appreciate it), but their chicken fingers with loads of crispy fries are a palate pleaser. The prices aren't bad either. Unfortunately, speed of service isn't one of this place's strengths, so it's not the best place to try if you're in a hurry and/or there's a line. On the other hand, you can order food to go and take it back to your room - they'll even give you sturdy plastic silverware.

Good food! Great soup. Tried the “famous” barley bean and chicken noodle. Both were excellent. Had a BLT here and Patty Melt. Both were pretty good. Typical Deli but with futuristic décor. Fast service. Note – this has less of a selection than Carnegie deli at the Mirage next door but is A LOT cheaper. If you want good deli food this is good at a reasonable price.

Canter's Deli - For Dinner

Month Visited: 06/05 - Good Meal
We had a good meal here. I had the hot dog which was grilled and very tasty. Not your typical boring boiled piece of meat. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, very good. My husband had half a turkey sandwich which was nothing exciting and the salad was very bland, looked to be out of a bag. It was a neat atmosphere, a mix between retro and futuristic diner.

Canter's Deli - For Lunch

Loved Cantor's in LA when I worked nearby in the 50s, so I looked forward to eating at its Vegas
incarnation. The atmosphere of the new deli in TI was about as cozy as a hospital waiting room, the
staff moved as if underwater, but worst of all was the food. I ordered a combo corn beef/pastrami
sandwich. Although it was generously packed, the meat was so overwhelmingly greasy and salty, it was
absolutely inedible. My favorite in Vegas is the Stage Deli in Caesars, where I've dined several times a
year since about 1990. It used to be great and cheap, but now the food is just fair and the prices are
much higher. Don't even go near the fake deli hole-in-the-wall in New York New York. I'll be visiting
Vegas again next month. Can a nosh expert suggest any other Sin City deli?

OK Deli Food, but below the par of Stage Deli or Carnegie Deli (at neighboring Mirage). Chicken soup was tasteless and pastrami was just oK.

While the pastrami was very good, the value was poor. Just not as good as the Stage Deli in the Forum Shops.

Because I was staying at the TI, and playing there at the time, I stopped in for a quick burger. Sorry I can't comment on the "deli" part of this restaurant, but the burger was very good, along with very tasty fries. It ran about $10 for the burger, plus the cost of a soda. You place your order at the counter, and food is brought to your table. Took maybe 5-6 minutes to get my order. The menu is a little limited. You don't get some deli classics such as chicken salad. For a full service deli, try The Stage Deli at Caesar's Forum Shops. For convenience and good food, Canter's will do nicely.
