Sterling Brunch - For Breakfast

I reckon that the food is excellent....the ambience and champagne superb! Howevere the one thing that completely spoiled it for me was an extremely rude waiter with a moustache who really thought that he was the funniest thing on earth! He humiliated me in front of my friends and did not know when to draw the line. I will certainly not be eating at this buffet again as long as he is there - which is a shame because it's a fine place.

I don't mind paying a lot of money for excellent food but this food was NO WHERE NEAR excellent! I have eaten at the best and most exspensive buffets in vegas and this one was THE MOST EXSPENSIVE (sterling brunch) and it was by far the WORST! The lobster was weird little brown crawfish like pieces, it was dry and tasteless. I tried to choke it down but just couldn't do it. The selection was soooo sad! I love meat and seafood but the only good thing they had on the buffet was the watermellon so I am sorry but paying that much money for watermellon is NOT A GOOD DEAL!!! This place is tight, tiny and You have to put on a pretty mean face to try and elbow in to grab a measly piece of lousy food. If you want good quality food...Pass this one by.

My wife and I have been going to the Sterling Brunch since it opened. In the past we used to schedule our trips to leave on Monday just so we could have the brunch. It used to be 1 seating per table and you could really enjoy the meal. We have been at least 40 times!
The past 3 times have been terrible and we will not go again. They have jamed more tables into the main room and added two additional rooms without expanding the serving stations. This causes huge people jams and lines throughout the day. The food looks a mess. They have dropped the prime rib, lowered the quality of the champagne, and bought cheaper cavier. This place looks like any other buffet in Vegas. CAN YOU SAY MOOOOOOOO?
Whoever made this decision to expand should be fired.

LOVED the Sterling Brunch Buffet!!!! Yes it is pricey at $65 pp but well worth it IMHO!!! DH and I LOVED IT!!! I did read before I went that because I am only a lowly gold member that I would not be seated at the Steakhouse. We were seated at al Dente next door instead. At first I was kinda mad but al Dente was not busy so we had a waiter team to ourselves and the champgane kept flowing!!! DH and I probably drank 3-4 bottles of champagne just between the 2 of us and that alone was worth it! The banana's foster for dessert was delish! I highly recommend and will go back!

This is NOT your typical brunch - this is a fine dining experience. I manage international tradeshows for a living and have dined at the finest all over the world. This is an amazing dining experience at an exceptional value and should not be missed!

Unbelievably great!!!! I got married at 11:30AM and had reservations at 1PM for the brunch. Of course the whole process ran a little long so I called the restaurant and explained we were running late, no problem. We got there at 1:25. There was 6 in my party and we were dressed in our wedding attire. We were treated like royalty. I had read that unless you had one of one of their upper level membership cards you could not sit in the Steakhouse. We were escorted to a table right in the middle of the Steakhouse. Wedding or not, that was wonderful. I did watch people coming in from the other 2 adjoining restaurants where others were seated and it didn't seem that it was that torturous. The food was amazing. I was lead to believe that since we were getting there so late into the brunch (Service ends at 2:30) that the food would be limited and old. Not true at all, the lobster was very tender and delicious, the crab claws were fantastic. The filet mignon was soft and tender. The selection was very varied and I was just amazed. And yes, I have been to many other buffets and restaurants in Vegas so I do know the difference between them. The service was very efficient, champagne and water glasses filled constantly. Dished cleared immediately. Towards the end, one of the head chefs brought snifters of aged scotch to the table to toast our happy day, a nice touch that they didn't have to do. It made us feel special.
$65 per person is not a small amount of money, but for an anniversary or a wedding or just because you want to splurge a little, you can't beat this brunch.

We always go to the Sterling Brunch every trip to Vegas, we've been there at least 10 times over the years. This past trip, in March, we found ourselves the recipients of the dreaded 'are you seven star platinum diamond whatever total rewards card holders'? We are total rewards cards holders and were staying at Paris but it wasn't good enough to sit in the Steakhouse, so we were relegated to the italian restaurant next door. The Maitre'D was extremely snooty about it, too. The italian restaurant was very brightly lit and we were seated next to a table of 12 very loud, rowdy birthday celebrators. I understand enjoying yourself but can you please save the constant hysterical screaming for some place where people are not trying to enjoy a $65 breakfast right next to you? Like maybe McDonalds? Our waiter was very nice, but had half the tables in this restaurant so was not as attentive as we are used to at the Sterling Brunch. When we walked next door to the buffet, the line was literally 20 people long waiting to get a plate for food and the line was moving very slowly. All of the sudden, I was not as ticked off about being seated next door because the folks seated there along the aisle leading to the buffet had people hovering over them listening in on their conversations as they were trying to eat. Whoever thought it was a good idea to double the number of diners for such a small space needs to be fired. The Sterling Brunch is no longer a Vegas "must", this long time customer won't be returning.

This was my second visit to the Sterling Brunch. We went last March and it was a truly memorable and special event. The food was superb. When we first arrived my reservation was checked and my sisters and I were given a rose and a glass of champagne. We were escorted to the table and we were made to feel very special. When we went to the buffet tables we couldn't believe our eyes, the food was absolutely fabulous and it tasted even better! Our waiter was very sweet and made joking conversation with us which was very nice. It was a really memorable experience and well worth the money.....

Now for the present - I had told my husband the night before that he was going to really be in for a treat. With anticipation of a wonderful meal I didn't eat a big dinner the night before. We arrive and were greeted by the same gentleman as my previous visit but this time he didn't have a rose or glass of champagne instead he seemed very rushed and after telling him we had a reservation he began to walk us into an empty steakhouse dining room. There were about 10 other people scattered throughout this empty room and not a table of food in sight. I asked him why we were not in the brunch area and he asked if we were staying at Bally's. I responded yes, and he very quickly asked if I were a platinum member, as only they are allowed to be seated in the actual Sterling Brunch dining area. (You can read a more detailed description of this outrage in another rating previous to mine if you don't believe me). I was stunned. I took a breath and then said to my husband let's find somewhere else to eat. As we turned away he came up behind us and said he would find a table in the other room and he was sorry but this is the hotel's new policy. Hungry and really disturbed we said ok. Was I surprised to find that the Sterling room was only
half full with empty table all around. As we were seated we see these poor people with dish in hand walking from one restaurant to the other. It was really second rate.

Now for the food. After raving about what terrific meal we had I was embarrassed when we got up to the tables and found nothing special. I felt cheated and humiliated. My husband tried to cheer me up by saying the dessert section looked wonderful, he knows that's my weakness.

I can tell you that this was the worst experience in what actually turned out to be the best trip we ever had in Vegas, everything else was really great but I recommend you really read the ratings carefully before you waste your time and money. AND IF ANYONE AT BALLY'S CHECKS THIS SITE PLEASE TAKE HEED WHOEVER MADE THESE CHANGES RUINED ONE OF THE NICEST BUFFET'S IN VEGAS. WHAT A SHAME.

Good food but not a very large selection; however, the inclusion of lobster, fresh berries and sushi made it a pleasing experience.
