We ate there New Years day. Almost empty, and with good reason. The food was lousy. The hot food was warm, at best - nothing was hot. The vegetables were limp. All of the food was sitting out for a long time, and should have been thrown. Found out later that it was a Champagne Brunch, but we were never offered champagne. Also, not a very friendly staff. We complained to the manager about the food and said that he was sorry that we didn't enjoy the meal. Although we stayed at the Riviera, we will NEVER return to their buffet! Hard to imagine it could be worse.

Ok...the food was plentiful but dry in most cases. You can tell by looking it's been out in the trays for sometime. The sirlon tip they serve/sliced was extremely DRY & so was their fried chicken. The two drinks they served during this dinner was either a Margarita [which was very sour]and beer[Busch]. On the plus side: Some of the side dishes and desert was actually very good. However, I will not give this Riviera buffet a passing grade due the lack of quality with the main dishes.

We had free passes to eat here. Heard from several people that food was not very good but you can't beat a free meal in vegas so decide to try for ourselves. The food was decent and hot. The service was good and they had a variety of different foods. Salad bar could have more variety but all in all was a good meal.

Almost didn't try this buffet because we've had bad experiences before. Received free meals (along w/ other tickets) for sitting through one of those dreadful timeshare programs so we went for breakfast.
Found a good variety of items. The usual pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, milk, juice, coffee, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and waffles w/syrup, fruit toppings or powdered sugar. Nice extras of made-to-order omelets, breakfast burritos, French toast and breakfast steaks.
The most surprising part was the beverage server. She (Veronica) was the most friendly and helpful person I met anywhere during our 5 day trip!
We were having a late start that day so before we left they were getting ready to open up the lunch items. They also looked good with a nice variety of the tried and true mixed up with some unusuals.
I would eat here again.

We went to the buffet for a reception. I have to say that I feel sorry for the bride and groom in choosing this place. The food was dry and did not carry in flavor. The price for lunch is outrageous for what they offer. Hands down, worst buffet in Vegas. I am glad we chose to go to the Stardust our first night in town or I would have starved.

I was pleased with this buffet, it was the first one of many that we visited during our week long stay. They had a large selection, good variety, and lots to drink. It was a little bit pricey, but we got our money's worth.

Even with the free champagne it was bad. The only good part was the edlerly man we had as a waiter. Definitely would not go back again.

NASTY was the word my daughter used, my verdict is unprintable
food was cold bland and the meat well you couldn't even cut it it was soo tough.
only saving grace they had bread so you could have toast but i didn't pay that price to eat toast i would have been better off going for a macdonald's.
after complaining to the manager (as the table had been cleared including the reciept) he could do nothing == ermm u have to go up an escalator to get there so u have got to have paid. he did offer to buy us a drink alcoholic on our next visit, i told him we WOULD not be comming back but my daughter may take up his offer of a free drink as she was 17. he just walked away very rude man
