I ate here twice for breakfast while staying at Riviera for a conference. This buffet was overpriced, especially if you consider that it was about the price of the buffets at the 4 and 5 star casinos.

The dining area was renovated, clean and nice, the service was great and the lady making omelettes was excellent, but it stops the food just wasn't very good. Not much selection, the scrambled eggs were drying out, the breads were still in their plastic bags for the customer to pull out and place into an inadequate toaster...you get the picture.

I'm normally a big fan of Vegas buffets, but the food here just wasn't worth the money.

All of the food was sitting out for a long time, and should have been thrown. Found out later that it was a Champagne Brunch, but we were never offered champagne. Also, not a very friendly staff. We complained to the manager about the food and said that he was sorry that we didn't enjoy the meal. Although we stayed at the Riviera, we will NEVER return to their buffet! Ok...the food was plentiful but dry in most cases. You can tell by looking it's been out in the trays for sometime. The sirlon tip they serve/sliced was extremely DRY & so was their fried chicken. The two drinks they served during this dinner was either a Margarita [which was very sour]and beer[Busch]. On the plus side: Some of the side dishes and desert was actually very good. We had free passes to eat here. Heard from several people that food was not very good but you can't beat a free meal in vegas so decide to try for ourselves. The food was decent and hot. Almost didn't try this buffet because we've had bad experiences before. Received free meals (along w/ other tickets) for sitting through one of those dreadful timeshare programs so we went for breakfast.

Found a good variety of items. The usual pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, milk, juice, coffee, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and waffles w/syrup, fruit toppings or powdered sugar. Nice extras of made-to-order omelets, breakfast burritos, French toast and breakfast steaks.

The most surprising part was the beverage server. She (Veronica) was the most friendly and helpful person I met anywhere during our 5 day trip!

We were having a late start that day so before we left they were getting ready to open up the lunch items. They also looked good with a nice variety of the tried and true mixed up with some unusuals.

We went to the buffet for a reception. I have to say that I feel sorry for the bride and groom in choosing this place. The food was dry and did not carry in flavor. The price for lunch is outrageous for what they offer. Hands down, worst buffet in Vegas. I am glad we chose to go to the Stardust our first night in town or I would have starved.    17072
