Cypress Street Marketplace - For Lunch

Month Visited: 05/07 - Good Meal
When looking for a quick bite to eat at Caesars, this is always a good choice. Basically, it's a food court where there are several different types of food. When it first opened, you would get a "charge card" for all your purchases and pay before you left. It must have not worked so great, because that's gone. Now you pay at each spot. Although the food is not spectacular, it's convenient and reasonably priced (for the new Las Vegas). If you earn points on Harrah's Total Rewards program, you can use them here. The one thing that I wonder, how did these birds get into the casino?

was walking the strip in 100 plus weather and went into the Forum shops to escape the heat. Had not planned on eating here, but when we saw it was a food court, decided to give it a try. Many places to choose from -- all looked and smelled great. I had a pastrami sandwich that was piled high with meat. However, for $7.99 you really should expect to get at least one side dish, even if it is just chips. I bought a bottled water and my bill was over $12. I am glad that I did not have to feed an entire family at that price! Was very surprised to see real silverware, not plastic stuff! It was also nice to see someone clearing the tables too. Great service, good food, but very pricey.

You order your food from different stands like a mall food court (pizza, wraps, etc.), and the cost is loaded onto a swipe card. Eat in a central area, go back for more food as many times as you like, and pay off the card as you exit. Fast and convenient, and inexpensive for Vegas.

The "Carolina" pulled pork sandwich was good, but not authentic-- served with a tomato-based sauce. Real Carolina barbeque should be sauced with vinegar and hot pepper. The spicy Vietnamese beef noodles were good. They came in a broth topped with lots of fragrant fresh basil. Pizza was good and servings were huge. Ditto for chocolate cake from coffeehouse.

Made two visits to this establishment during our last stay @ Caesars. Horrible doesn’t come close to describing this eatery. First visit was mediocre, long lines. slow service, & crappy food. We gave it a second chance & what a mistake that was. This time the food was inedible, we just paid our bill & left the food on the table. It’s convenient but that’s all it is. Avoid this place at all costs!

Visited here twice during our last trip. The food was very good and plentiful. You really get your money's worth here. Had the carolina barbacue the first time and the california wrap on the second visit. Good atmosphere and the food was reasonably priced. Used connection comps to pay for meals. Will definitely be making return trips.

Try the Slice Bar which is just next door, it's a great place for beer and a slice of pizza while watching the mayhem in the casino.
