We always visit Las Vegas during the New Year's Eve celebrations and choose the Fremont Street Experience over the hectic strip. We enjoy at least one meal at the Pasta Pirate and have never been disappointed in the main course. Although the salads are rather plain and the seafood bouillabaisse soup is a little heavy on the oregano seasoning, I have absolutely no complaints about my favorite dish, the Lobster Newburg. I have eaten this each time on 3 visits to Las Vegas. It is consistently wonderful and flavorful and the lobster pieces are many over the perfectly al dente linguine. I love this dish. My husband has had the steak and lobster and the lobster is very sweet and tender, all at a good price. If eating here for the first time, I would definitely recommend the Lobster Newburg, and I would skip the salad or soup. Free hot and crusty bread and butter is given freely before and during your meal. Enjoy a stop at the Pasta Pirate, you won't be charged an arm and a wooden leg.

All three in our party had the steak and lobster tail special for around $13.00 each. Steak was very good and lobster tail was good sized and tender, not small and rubbery like most specials. Soup or salad, choice of another side, and warm italian bread came with the meal. All in a very nice room with top notch service. Give it a try.

Great value with the specials. We have gone there for 10 years and have always had very good meals. Workers are friendly. Make reservations in advance on the weekend or you will be out of luck.

Although this resturaunt is known for it's seafood. I decided to drive downtown for steak and eggs following a night at the Mandalay's HOUSE OF BLUES. I am wheelchair bound and access was good. Also the primarily Filipino staff were GREAT. Very attentive, personable and cheerful. The steak and eggs were the BEST I had this entire Memorial day holiday! Will definitely return on next trip! Strongly recommend to others. Great meal at decent price! The casino is also pleasant with that "small and friendly" atmosphere, unlike the huge casinos on the strip.

I had a read reviews about this place a year or so ago. We stayed downtown in February of 2004. I wanted to try this place and did not get a chance. We did get to eat there this trip on our last night. I thought the food was good. We both had pasta dishes that come with a glass of house wine and a salad or soup. You also have bread before your meal. This was a good value as well. The service was very good.

We seem to eat here at least once every trip to Vegas. This trip we had my inlaws with us and they wanted to try some of the cheap Vegas meals that they'd seen advertised everywhere. We all had the steak and tail dinner and everyones was very good. The lobster tail was not overdone as happens a lot with the cheap meals. The steak, while not a huge hunk of meat, was decent and had good flavor. Overall, this has become our favorite of the inexpensive meals and it has remained consistant where others have not.

Although seafood is the specialty here and I don't like seafood, I thought this restaurant was quite nice. I had a chicken pasta dish. Good portion at a fair price. The house salad dressing is interesting. The atmosphere is very nice.
Along with the Redwood, the California has a couple of gems.

Did not think it was as good as the past reviewers felt. Good value. Had the surf and turf. Very good deal for $12, with choice of wine. Salad was very plain. The steak was not that tender and did not taste like it was seasoned. Salt could not help it. Lobster small but good. They serve it with plain white rice or ziti with red sauce. I had pasta and it was not that good. They should serve it with a baked potato which I dont think would cost them that much more. I sat near the back and watched the chefs cook. It looked like they did not take their jobs too seriously.
