Augustus Cafe - For Dinner

- Good Meal
I had a fantastic meal at what I would consider to be a upscale cafe. The new chef, Daniel Waked, came out to speak with our group regarding the entrees we ordered. Apparently he is in the process of recreating the menu with more modern cafe concepts. From what I have seen and tasted, Chef Waked is extremely talented. Try the Cuban Sandwich or the Prime Rib Beef Dip. And any of the salads are fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend Augustus for business dinners or a light dinner before seeing a show. At lunch try sitting on the "patio", which is really a gorgeous sunroom. I can't wait to return to try the new menu that is due out soon!

I had both breakfast and lunch at the Augustus Cafe and it was wonderful. I would definitly go back. I particularly enjoyed the spinach and cranberry salad and need to get that recipe!

- Good Meal
For breakfast this place is great! Since we were staying for a week we tried a variety of different foods: the Belgian Waffle, the French toast, the 3 egg special and The Augustus. If you want a meal to share: The Augustus is fantastic. Even the French toast is a large portion size, however stick to the regular. The Banana-Peanut Butter stuffed one is a little sticky on the palette. Service was great, even when there was a lineup to get in, it didn't take more than 20 minutes to clear, and you get a little decanter of coffee when you order it. Highly recommended - better than a buffet anyday!

- Undecided
Stayed at Caesars and decided to have a late night snack. Although it is a 24 hour cafe, the menu selection is limited during late night. The club sandwich had lots of turkey, but the overall sandwich seemed a little dry. There also was no choice of potato, just potato salad (I would have liked fries). Will have to go back and try a regular meal at more normal times.
