Circus Buffet in Circus Circus

My wife, son and I went to the lunch buffet yesterday. We'd been before several years ago and enjoyed it, so were expecting the same. After a long wait I paid for us, and my first surprise was over $60 for the three of us (no extras such as beer). Ok I thought, for that price the food must be very special (steaks, prime rib etc.). We went to our table, and noticed many other empty tables. Why the long wait to be seated?

Anyway, at least the food must be good to make up for the unnecessary wait. No it wasn't. None of us could believe the appalling selection. The carvery only offered ham. Not a steak, roast beef or prime rib in sight. Apart from, it was basic breakfast food (eggs, greasy sausages, bacon), tacos, cereals, deep fried battered shrimp. The desserts were also poor.

For over $20 each I felt robbed. The worst buffet experience we've had, ever. To think we could've had a decent buffet at our hotel (Palace Station, $7 each). Instead I forked over $60 for a glorified greasy breakfast selection (at 1:30 pm!).

You may be making money short term, but word will get around and in the long term you will lose many customers. Nobody likes to be ripped off.

T.G.I. Friday's in Orleans

The foods I tried were the hot wings, ribs, and burger, all very uninspiring
and not very tasty. Hot wings were dry, burger was bleah, and ribs were small
and dry as well.

Lemongrass in Aria Resort and Casino

I ordered their wings <<< very dry with no flavor and their Tom Kai Coconut
soup which I had to send back since all they put in it was a ton of mushrooms
and chunks of chicken, they brought it back with more vegetables but still the
soup was uninspiring, no real spice to it, as I did ask for not too spicy, I
got zero spice. Very uncomfortable eating situation by the bar with some girl
next to me swinging her long hair in my face. I have had much better Thai
food, not in Las Vegas but I have eaten much more flavorful food.

Two of us had a pasta dish, first I ordered Lasagna which came out cold,
then I ordered what my friend was eating which was the fettuccine carbonara,
I ordered a salad with our meal << another 8 dollars for a small salad, and
a glass of wine, and a soda, the whole dinner came out to 60 dollars which
is what your lowest average restaurant bill is in Las Vegas. Everything is
priced ala carte. Nice for a city that prides itself on paying people 7.25
an hour. Though the food was decent, I wouldn't say it was great. Also I had
to ask over 5 times for bread. And they make sure when they clean the table
they take away the grated cheese as if your gonna steal it.

Cornerstone in Gold Coast

First off, you gotta try the Cheese soup!!!! It's gotta be the very best I
have ever had. Ok now that I got that off my chest, first they bring you a
wonderful and I mean wonderful appetizer platter (complimentary) of olives,
fresh hot bread, fresh butter, and fresh veggies. I got the beef tips in the
wine juice with the veggies and my friend got the pork porterhouse. Though
the flavors were definitely there, I found the beef tips to be a bit dry,
the pork porterhouse that I tasted from my friend was OK, not jumping for
joy over, but still I got the Beet Salad and also got the Banana's foster
desert also very very good. I would love to go back and try a steak next
time.

Martorano's in Paris Las Vegas

I went for the Prix Fix Menu for $50 per person that gave you the choice of
salad, entree and dessert, and I gotta say it was amazing!!! I had their
Martorano salad, the TAGLIATELLE BOLOGNESE <<< the pasta sauce is out of this
world!! and had the yummy Cannoli while my friend had the Eggplant parm with
the meatball as the appetizer and carrot cake for dessert. If you want
authentic Italian food cooked like the Northeast part of the country Italians
then this is the place for you! Everything was perfecto! I hope to go again
soon.

Burger Lounge in Aria Resort and Casino

Really overpriced for what you get. Vegas fast food is Expensive with a
capital "E"!! Burger with a small amount of meat, mostly all bread and large
heavy pieces of lettuce and when you gotta ask for pickle for your burger then
you know your not eating a good burger.

John Mull's Road Kill Grill

Very tasty side dishes, their collard greens, beans, and mac and cheese are
highly recommended, The ribs were very meaty. This is an outside restaurant
with outdoor benches and tables. I recommend taking out as there were many
flies around the eating table. This place has many awards from the food
channel.

Angara - India Spice Grill

Delicious authentic Indian style cooking, they cook you fresh baked bread,
their fresh garlic bread they bring to your table is out of this world!!! They
got a vegetarian and a meat selection in the lunch buffet. Service was great
and for a minute there I thought I was in another city and state. Definite
recommend for Indian foodies!!

Viet Bistro

DO NOT EAT HERE!! I put a good comment here a few months back and it was
honest but I ate there on Tuesday and found a big worm in my soup, also the
waitress is fresh off the boat and doesn't speak a word of English. Sorry but
Americans don't eat worms and dogs!

Now the reason why I said I would eat here again is because it's my favorite
type of cuisine and there is very few restaurants in town that offer Middle
Eastern food, on the other hand, their rolled grapeleaves were spiced like
Mexican food and the leave itself wasn't cooked enough, the server was very
young and clumsy, she didn't have a clue about how to describe the food when
asking her about what was what which I totally didn't like, I saw someone
else's pre-dinner salad come out and thought it looked dry and then I asked
the waitress could she make mine with extra dressing and put some feta on
the top, well she did put the tiny pieces of feta on top for an extra 2
dollars and then I had to ask her again after she brought the salad to my
table to bring extra salad dressing. My friend clearly asked for the beef
and rice soup but she brought the lentil soup, we had to keep asking her for
this and that, it wasn't very kindly or warm what so ever. My friend got the
chicken dish that was supposed to be an old Khoury family recipe, the
chicken tasted old to be honest and they put very little potatoes with the
dish unlike the description where it sounded quite hardy. All around the
food was ok for Vegas but anywhere else in a Modern Metropolitan US city it
would be considered overpriced and not well made, they were very cheap with
their ingredients.

Cafe Bellagio in Bellagio

I had the Grilled Filet Mignon with crab cakes added for an extra $10, which
came with potatoes and baby carrots and had an amazing Sangria full of fruits,
all was very very good especially the crab cakes! The waiter was very pleasant
and had a nice spot viewing the Bellagio Gardens.

Great meal, had the Mongolian Beef lunch plate that came with hot and sour
soup, an egg roll and some fried rice and ordered a side of Dumplings which
were very good also. Great lunch menu.

Victory 's Cafe in Cannery

Ordered 2 Prime Rib dinners, one with french fries and one with baked potato
with 2 cups of cream of broccoli soup for 2 dollars extra, first the soup,
very salty and nothing creamy about it, then dinner, didn't bring my baked
potato had to chase the waitress down for that when she finally brought it,
cold and dry and microwaved, the Prime Rib was absolutely tough without any
flavor, and salty, came with the grossed tasting side of mixed vegetables I
ever tasted in my life, that had to be spit out. The place was freezing to
death and waitress didn't understand English when asking her for the side of
creamed horseradish that was supposed to come with the meal. OMG who is
employed to cook for this hotel?????

French Market Buffet in Orleans

I love their Huge ribs at the carving station and Friday had lots of amazing

The place hardly had any customers and the service made me sit alone for
about 10 minutes without any acknowledgment then I noticed several tables
where people had chips n salsa and they never bothered to bring a basket to
my table, then I started out with a pricey appetizer of the melted cheese
which was not very melted with chorizo, they gave me two little soft tacos
with it wrapped in foil which was very coldly presented, I asked for a
frozen Margarita and they said the machine was broken, never heard a Mexican
restaurant not able to serve frozen drinks in my life!! Then I ordered a
soup that was absolutely cold and asked them for a hot soup in which they
took it back to the kitchen waited 15 minutes then brought it to my table
claiming it was a new soup, which was a complete lie since the taco strips
in the soup were totally like soft noodles. Then I asked for a Mojito, the
worst I ever tasted, no sweetener and barely any mint which I told them I
didn't want. so with a soup and a cheese dip and drinking basic water the
bill came to 34 dollars. Ridiculously overpriced crap hole I will never go
to again!! Pass the Word!

Small lunch menu of mostly burgers. Instead of fries I got the side of salad
for $2 more which didn't have much of a variety in veggies, was mostly greens,
and you have to ask for the ketchup. Quite pricy for a lunch at 25.00 dollars

Grimaldi's Coal Brick-Oven Pizzeria

Very good pizza, I got a large Artichoke, mushroom, roasted red pepper, fresh
basil and fresh garlic pizza, so that was 5 items on the pizza which added an
extra 16 dollars to an 18 dollar pizza. Was a nice thin crispy crust and my
first choice of a glass of red wine I chose I changed to a house red wine
since the pinot I ordered tasted quite sour as if it had been opened a few
weeks ago. The waitress could have been a bit more attentive and asked how the
pizza tasted... Definitely would go back again.

The inside of the restaurant is warm and the service is very good, I ordered
the Eggplant Parm special with a side of pasta and my dinner date had the
fettuccine Alfredo made with spaghetti not Fettuccini pasta. The Eggplant was
large chunky slices that could have been cooked better, also the price for the
eggplant parm was $22.00 which I found rather high. I did order a piece of
Tiramisu that was very very good and their coffee was also made well.

Cabo Mexican Restaurant in Sunset Station
